Anyone going to the Super Chevy Show at MIR. Its the weekend of the 27-29. I might drive up for the show on Sunday..

 

I will be there Fri-Sun showing my car. I will be in the 82-92 Camaro modified unless they changed the classes but thats what I am always in. Stop by and say hi.

Im gonna try and make it up there for a day, doubt im entering or racing the camaro though.

 

i went up to the midnight madness last friday for the real street. A guy i know with a thirdgen went a 8.70 and another in the 9's. Two fastest cars up there were a supra (krystos efantis) ran a 8 flat. A guy in a 2001 turbocharged stang broke the track record for real street and ran 7.70

 

I woulda been there but my fans werent working . Gonna have to wait till the weekend after to run my car cause of the super chevy show.

 

we shuold get a bunch of us to go to MIR on June 15th, its a Fri night. There having a Kuhmo tire event. Theres a car show, racing, bikni contest, give a ways, all kinds of stuff. I have been the past 2 years and had a blast. I was a little skeptical at first cause it seemed like a bunch of rice but it was all kids of cars. The show was mostly rice but i was racing that night. The racing is just a TNT. I will post about it again when the time is closer.

 

Ya that sounds cool, thatd be great to get a track meet together. Plus i have kuhmo tires on my car .

 

OK this weekend isn't looking good already. Today I get off work and get home clean the car one last time and get ready to load it in the trailer. I noticed that one of the tires was flat no big deal I will just pump it up. I put the air nozzle on it and out came a huge gust of air from the valve stem. Well I get the spare out and damn if that thing wont fit AGAIN, yes again I had a blow out on the road and the other spare I had wouldn't fit either. Now I remind you that I bought both spares from the place I bought the trailer, and they were both wrong. So now I go up to NTB to get the new tire put on the old rim cause Jiffy Hitch is closed by now and the guy says ok it will be like 4 bucks you can pay for it when you pick it up. I go back and the guy that gave me the price wasn't there and this other "tech" (some punk kid) tells me oh thats the wrong price he must have hit the wrong key. He goes though the same proccess as the other guy and guess what comes up, the same price. I tell him I guess you hit the wrong key to huh. I hope this weekend gets better, but Fri is going to be a wash it looks like. Sorry just needed to vent I guess.

 

lol didnt sound like a good start, so how did it end up going? I didnt get a chance to make it up there. My weekend was too packed together to make it.

 

I got up there Sunday and it was ok even though there were only 3 third gens in the show.

 

Yeah it was a pretty sad showing for the 3rd gens, again.

Yeah that was me, 90camarotbi. it was good to meet you and talk to some people from the boards, I also met IROCU2. Hopefully we can all met up down in OC in a couple of weeks.

 

If I knew that that was you, I woulda stuck around longer and talked to you. I can talk about these cars all day.
