A Fallen Hero
A Fallen Hero
I regret to reform you that on sunday night we lost a hero. A avid Iroc owner, former navy, military police, friend, family member, Thomas McKenzie of Upper Marlboro. He passed away in a car accident sunday night, don't know any details. This is a shame, nobody could foretell this coming. He had just got his car back from my brother's shop getting some things done, and I had even helped work on his car. Now sadly he will not get to enjoy it. Rest in Peace Thomas. Please keep his family in your prayers.
Re: A Fallen Hero
Well I talked to his family today and went out to see the site because it was only a couple hundred ft from his house. I was told he was happy when he got it back and was joyriding it up and down the street the following day.
From afar there are alot of tire marks like maybe he went around the turn too fast and slammed his brakes where his rears locked up and from there it looks like it got alittle squirrly near the end and hit a guard rail. I was told he was probably going around 70, not sure but definately over 50. Not too positive on the impact though, but it was all done on driver's side and the guardrail he hit was on the passenger side of the road. So I don't see any other way of having a crash like that without the car getting squirley.
He did have a passenger with him who managed to walk away with a broken collarbone that they think was the result of Tom's head. Tom passed from internal bleeding. He was an organ donor like myself, so let's hope that somebody gets a better lease on life because of him. He was a great guy, he will never be forgotten.
