Effective January 1, 2008 you will be charged a 5% tax on automotive labor. See www.thenovaauthority.org.

"The Authority approved a 5% Sales and Use Tax on labor associated with auto repairs within the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority jurisdictions."

In the past you were not paying tax on repairs but now you will be paying the 5%. If this sort of thing upsets you I encourage you to write one or all of the members of this Northern Virginia Transportation Authority http://www.thenovaauthority.org/members.html. I do not know about everyone else but I am tired of taxes like this. This is only ONE of SEVEN taxes being levied against us come the new year. One fee affecting all of us will be the additional $10 for safety inspection. Again I encourage everyone who is as upset as I am to write the members of this authority or their local State delegate. It is important that we let them know that we are happy about these fees and taxes. If anyone is just as upset as I am let the posting begin.
