Can anyone recommend a good shop that has a frame rack?
I'm going to have some SFC's welded on my car soon, but I want to take it to a place that has a frame rack first to make sure it's perfectly straight and then have them do any straightening if it's necessary. Can anyone reccomend a shop? If they can weld them on while the car's still on the rack too, that would be even better. I'm willing to travel a distance too, if the place is really good.

I don't think you need a frame rack, rather just a drive on lift. It's my understanding that the car just needs to be sitting level. I'm going to install my using the alignment rack at work.

Unless you’re pretty sure that it’s messed up it’s probably a waste of time. Get a plumb bob. Drop it off each fender lined up with each hub, measure in to the hub and mark it on the floor. From that you should be able to get pretty reasonable wheelbase (on both sides) measurements showing that it’s not banana shaped and diagonal measurements showing that it’s not just plain crooked. If I remember right factory tolerances are something on the order of ¼”, and I’ve seen undamaged cars as bad as almost 3/8” off. Depending on how **** retentive you are, measuring this way you can probably get within 1/16”-1/8”, which is more than close enough to tell if the car is messed up.
