Re: Goodbye Thanks for your help
What ended up happening is tragic and hurts my heart even as I type this. I bought the car and I had it parked on a small side street away from other cars. I had to get it registered and insured since it came from another state. So I bought a cover while I got the registration and stickers for it. I just need time to get the money for a PA state inspection since getting the car from another state, paying for shipping and all used up all my money. So I just needed it to sit for a little bit while I got preparations to move it and get it away from where I live. You see I have a HOA in which the rules are followed only by a few people while others break rules daily. There's a guy who has two cars parked with no license plate and another that has grass growing under it. I thought I could cover until I had money to move it, since no one complained about those issues. I was dead wrong, I got into a confrontation with some dill weed when my car was covered and across from his house. He threatened police abandonment for my car. I pointed out other people he said nothing, it got heated. My car was in danger, I had nowhere for it to go and no more money until the next month. I had to do the unthinkable. I had to junk my car to prevent the cops from towing it and running up massive charges. So I lost 2,530 dollars and I am heartbroken right now. I only had it a month but I'm on a fixed income, that car was everything to me and it killed my spirit to junk it. So that's the story, I left third gen because I have no third gen now. I'll admit it I cried when it was towed away. My spirit is broken right now, I hate that guy and I have no car now. That's the story. I hope to get another third gen but this time I'm parking away from where I live. :'(

I hope to find another very soon. It killed me to get rid of a car I had one month! Meanwhile a busted BMV sitting rotting on my street, another person has a saturn station wagon with no license plate! So I'm starting to look again. I just have to get another one.

Philly is murder on cars and I swear they have it out for older ones. This has so demoralized me I can't help but stop and wipe a tear when I see a third gen go by. That should be me. So I begin again.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Not to rag or sound like an A-hole, but i think i would have arranged for a storage area first. I think you should stay on TGO, just for the sake to read the post's. You were a third gen owner anyway, even if it was for a short time.

Re: Goodbye Thanks for your help
I had storage arranged but when I saw the busted up BMV that no one complained about and the two station wagons with inspection but no license plate and my neighbor who decided to spray paint rather than paint her front door, I thought I could get by for just a little bit. How wrong I was. I got picked on despite everyone else breaking the rules. I now hate everyone here and no longer am I friendly to anyone. I keep to myself. That car meant a lot to me. These neighbors can burn in hell for all I care now. I'll get a new car but I will never park it around here. Thanks for the support. I hope to return with good news soon. Think I'll look for a yellow formula.

I'd be looking for revenge. I don't know the whole situation but if there are neighbors cars parked like your Camaro was but some A-hole decided to pick on you and threaten calling the tow truck, after losing the car because of their threats I'd see if their cars look abandoned or not and call the tow truck on THEM. Anonymously of course.
Payback is a b_tch. Especially when you mess with my 3rd gen.

Oh yeah the cars I stated are parked like that and no one says a word. That BMV hasn't moved in two months! Its filled with trash I checked the law and even with current stickers and tags you cant leave a car parked like that for two months with grass growing under it. I think that car is abandoned. I saw a Scion sit for weeks with the window down and people vandalized it but it wasn't called on. Screw these people! My dream car is gone because of these people. I so want to move away after this. So I am watching everyone and I'm getting people back. Why should my car be gone when it was ten times more interesting to look at than those pieces of junk.

Sorry to hear, wish I could give you a hug. If that neighbor won't say a word about the other violators, he must be friends with those people. If so, rat them out to the authorities.
If money is tight and you can't find a storage unit, there are frequently sheds that people will let you park a car or boat in, which usually is a lot less.
