91 Z28 5spd Running after 8 year sit outside
I know, shame on me. Anyway, I bought it from my cousin in 2003 who got it from my uncle who bought it new. I miraculously only had to change the fuel pump, and it's up and running. Proactively changed the fuel filter, oil, oil filter, and spark plugs prior to the fuel pump. Idled it for a half hour after fuel pump. It reached about 235, the fan kicked on, and it regulated temp without issue. I drove it down my road, and it seems to be driving pretty close to how it drove the day I parked it 8 years ago. Parked it overnight, and no leaks. I plan to slowly but surely restore it to its original condition. Any recommendations mechanically I should replace right out of the gate, or should I just wait for things to come up. I'm not a mechanic, but I have the GM service manual, and I am very mechanically inclined. I just joined this forum. Let me say, you guys have compiled an excellent database of knowledge about these cars. Job well done!

If you have not, change the coolant.
Anything that is rubber is probably bad. This means most of your hoses. Also, tires are probably not road worthy.
