no more drag racing at Englishtown...
They're trying to say it's too expensive to run drag racing events any more. Am I the only one that doesn't believe that excuse? Sad...

Yeah, I'm with you. They said fuel, tires, oil were getting too expensive, those are all costs paid directly by the customer. They spun it as the cost of racing is driving down sales. Horseshit.
100% chance the actual reason is all of the more-money-than-brains morons who bought super high $$ homes nearby, and then found out about the noise from the race track the first weekend they moved in. It has been a constant fight, those people have been complaining non-stop since the homes were built.
This is sadly the beginning of the end for old E-town. Hopefully the spring and fall swap meets survive for a while.
