New Drag Class!! PRO DIAL comes to Englishtown, NJ

PRO DIAL DEBUTS at ENGLISHTOWN in 2003

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Englishtown, NJ – Any racer who has tried it will tell you that Pro Tree drag racing offers unmatched excitement, but until now that thrill has not been available to the grassroots drag racer. All that changes in 2003 as famed Old Bridge Township Raceway Park introduces the Pro Dial Series.

Pro Dial will utilize a .500 Pro Tree start, but allow racers to choose their own dial-in for each round of competition.

The series will consist of 5 race dates in 2003. Four of these events will be held in conjunction with Raceway Park’s newly formed U.S. MUSCLE DRAGS, a bracket racing event designed for all brands of American iron.

Pro Dial will be open to all U.S. cars and light trucks as outlined below, but racers should note that THIS CLASS IS FOR MUFFLED VEHICLES ONLY.

Racers should also be aware that Raceway Park has strict noise requirements for Friday and Saturday racing. Maximum db level allowed is 90db at 100 feet. Detailed information regarding this rule, and suggestions on ways to comply, is available on the Raceway Park website, www.racewaypark.com.

It's still a bracket race with dial ins and break outs but off a .500 pro tree instead of a .500 full tree. The difference is that all 3 yellow lights come on at once instead of one at a time .500 seconds apart. Since a good bracket racer only concentrates on the bottom bulb anyway it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

For a real challange try launching off a .400 pro tree. It's not as easy as it looks to get a good light. You almost have to anticipate when the light comes on.

I wish Raceway Park luck with their new class.
