evertime I try to load a pic on this site it says it is to big. it says it can't be bigger than 102400 bytes. thats fine and dandy but when I scan a pic it has the size of the pics in KB. now I am not Bill Gates here so what is the conversion here, how many KB equall 102400 bytes??? PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Dude I'm as illiterate as you on computers, all I know is that our computer has some program on it that lets you resize the actual pic-wife does this for most the time but I'm catching on, when I download off the digital camera the pics are like 1280 x 960 or 324 KB, when I resize them they turn into 500 x 375 or 42.6 KB, I'll let you do the math, luckily the pic program we have is half way easy to learn for what I need them for.

 

The "K" means kilo (and not coke!!!!! ).

102400 bytes is AKA 102 kilobytes (102Kb).

A megabyte (expressed as "M") is a million, or 1,000,000 bytes.

A gigabyte (expressed as "G", catching on yet? ) is a billion, or 1,000,000,000 bytes.
