Metro Detroit Area
Anyone know of a good place in the metro Detroit area where I can get my 10 bolt posi rebuilt and installed on my 88 Iroc. I just got my 88 a couple of months ago and it came without posi, but I have a posi unit from a trans am with disc brakes. The posi rear has been sitting in my garage for about ten years and needs to be rebuilt and installed by someone who knows what there doing. Hope to meet some fellow Third Gens at Autorama. Thanks.
Hey nice to see another MI person...
A friend of mine specializes in rear diff work and lives in Eastpointe. He is a pro and doesn't charge much.
His number is 586-801-8046 his name is Scott and he has a real bad *** 86 z28.
Try out www.motownmuscle.com or the MI forum at www.camaroz28.com. Most of us MI f-body owners hang out in those places most of the time.

*cough*was bad ****cough*............just playin.
yeah scott is a great guy and extremely smart when it comes to that stuff. i wouldn't go with anyone else in the area. his car is definately the fastest thirdgen i know of in the area as well as if not fastest car i know of. he does great work and he's good on pricing.
might be cheaper using a stock replacemnt that's working...if you could find one of those somewhere....don't know who would have one of those though.
i should be up at autorama along with alot of other gearheads, mike including if he decides to leave the house. if you recognize the car stop by and say hello.
if you need anything related to parts or work done to them on these things either mike or i can help you.

scott was from there........DTS is well known, although scott took alot of the experience with him and better prices.
like most things in life you can go to dealer and get the goods or cut out the middleman and get the deals.
not that there is anything wrong with going there...just paying more.

chris here is also a great guy to talk to about anything f-body related. he's helped me out alot with different things here and there and really knows his stuff.
he posts very little, but when he does be sure to listen as it's always good info.
alright i'm done with the kissing up now...there's alot of great guys here; now we just need some women who appreciate the cars. :lala:
