I have a '91 T/A convertible with the LB9 305--it is completely stock and in excellent condition with ~69K. It is still in the car and can be ran for a potential buyer (I'm currently re-doing interior and adding subframe connectors so the car is up on jack stands w/no interior, but I can bolt the front seats in & go for a ride if the deal came down to that). I am definitely keeping the TPI stuff, manifolds, brackets, and accessories--I'd like to get rid of either just the shortblock or longblock. I may keep the heads since they can be home ported to flow a bit over 200 CFM, which can support HP in the low 400's (HP=0.25714*CFM*# of cylinders) but I may sell them too if someone makes a decent offer for the longblock. Yes, I know its not the greatest motor (thats why I'm thinking of getting rid of it and doing a budget buildup of a different SBC), I just want to see if anyone local is in need of a 305. If it comes down to a sale, I of course would pull it and have it ready to load; possibly deliver within reason--timewise this would be somewhere around April/May (due for emissions test before May--want to get that out of the way BEFORE the swap). uumm... I need a set of heads for my TBI 305.... but maybe I can get the longblock from ya. How much you looking to get and how far are you from mo?

 

I am in Lemont, Il., a small town southwest of Chicago, so its a gooood drive from Mo.

I would want $500 for the longblock; if all you are looking for is heads this may not be for you.

 

hhmmm.... My short block is fine I just need new valve seals so I was just simply looking for new heads.
