I've got a 90 taurus. I picked it up with 64000 and lots of rust for $50. The tranny is so bad half the time it lays rubber upshifting into second. Stupid fords. I'll see about pics.

No pic, but it is a 89 mazda 323 with 154000 miles 1.6L. I got it for $100. Slowest thing i have ever been in. I lost a race against my buddies 91 ford escort. Hs car is a piece of crap too and we run into each other all the time, nothing major though.

My thirdgen is currently my all season beater because I don't have anything else to drive. Once I get some body work and paint done, my car will be winter free, unless it is dry and and at least 30 degrees outside with no snow.

This is the worst side of my car.

Lol, I don't plan on living in Central Illinois for ever. After I graduate (hopefully) from SIUC, I am heading South, where the winters are warmer.

My winter beater just died. I got a 93 Dodge Shadow from some trailer park guy for $400. It ran decent for a couple of months until I broke something in the bottom end. This this was completely ugly. He spray canned it this white color. The only thing it had going for it was a good stereo and $200 tires. It was SLOW AS HELL but it was my first 5 speed, so it was basically worth the investment to teach myself how to drive a stick.

back from the dead

ok I know this thread is old but I couldn't resist seeing as how I just got a winter beater. I don't have any pics at the present but its (as in my profile) a 1984 full size bronco with 4wd (which is why I bought it) its rusty, its loud due to the exaust being busted, but its mechanically sound. so as the topic is...lets see winter beaters :lala: :lala:

Do you really want to see it?

It was my project until I found the Camaro I'm working on now.

I was going to finish them both but then decided that the Camaro is more important (sex appeal).

This is what she did look like after I wrecked it last winter while beating it. Please remember, this was my project vehicle as you can see in the pics I started ripping it apart.

This is how she sits now.

I was going to fix her all up nice & pretty but the Camaro is more important. So now I'm going to mix & match body panels & put it back together for a Winter/Work truck.

So if you see a F-150 rolling down the road sporting seven different colors without counting the rust, then it probally will be me.

1978 or 1979 Ford Bronco with a 300 I-6 and 4 speed tranny. brand new motor, newer 31" tires and a 3 inch lift. it needs a set of 35" tires and 4.10 and it would be perfect. about 10 min after this pic i had the hood on. still playing with the carb and trying to get it right.

winter beater #2

1989 S10 2.5L 4cyl. 5 speed. 2wd. this will get the most driving. bronco will be used mostly for when it gets really crappy out and need 4wd(other wise its just dumb to drive it as the S10 gets about double the gas mileage.
