I'mm looking for a retired 9C1 (i think thats the code) caprice just to mess around with. i know that they should be pretty cheap and i see them a lot on ebay real cheap. but does anyone know of a place around here where i can pick one up for little $$$?

 

there's a place on irving east of the kennedy that only sells cop cars. you cant miss it the whole lot is filled with old copmobiles. its kind of scary at first. just drive down irving on north side of the street

 

hey buddy my dad was a cop in gurnee so dont buy a cop car that was used there. i know a few guys who would take them out for some fun in the mud. yeah cops always seem to have the fun.

never get an old city cop car they been beat worse than the mudding ones. A kid i met in champaign his whole family had old police cars and that was his only tip was dont get a city car.

 

In Minnesota they have public auction for goverment and reposesed cars. You can get a cop car for $1-5,000

 

theyre around 2k to 2500 on average in springfield auction, they have quite a few everytime, but getting to be less and less chevies, its fun testing them for posi rear some ar eposi and some arent, you just never know which
