$23 a month for liability only, not even the lowest amout right about middle of the road on the liability. One other thing I'm 26 y/o though. One last thing with State Farm there is no price difference between a V6 or V8 Camaro.

No even with the 4th gen its the same deal. A Camaro is a Camaro no matter what engine it has in it, in the eyes of State Farm.

well Im 18 and state farm wanted about $3200 a year for a 4th gen LS1 Camaro. Yea, $3200 with a good student discount and a clean record, so the newer ones cost A LOT more for me.

Im paying about $1800 a year from state farm for my 350 iroc with full coverage. Im thinking about dropping it to liability over the summer though. A 2000 grand prix gt costs more money for insurance for me, i think it was about $2100 a year, so I bought my 3rd gen

I dont think the price difference between the 305 and 350 is really big. The insurance people told me to buy a different car

yea, your 18, live with it, it's like 21-25 insurance companies chop your insurance down quite a bit, i can't wait for mine to drop, i'm paying 84/mo full coverage, i'm 18, clean record, no good student discount, it was insured as an 85 SC (base model) w/305 carb, because it was in it's past life

No a V8 camaro isn't the same as a V6 in the eyes of State Farm. Well, sort of. In a third gen, they consider V6 and most usually TBI V8's, ie, Camaro RS and Firebird as the same. They fall in the plain passenger car range. If you get into monikers like Z-28, IROC, Formula, Trans Am, then the prices start going up. A 4th gen Z-28 will cost a LOT more to insure than a plain V6 Camaro coupe.

I should know, I have insurance through State Farm, used to be with AmFam, they were the same way, and I also now work for an insurance company.

i don't remember exactly how much i pay, but i think it's under $150 every 6 months for liability with state farm. not bad i think for a V8 convertible, i have no complaints with them.
