a cooling situation

does anyone know if a v6 electric cooloing fan will be adequate for a v8 with a/c. i think the v8s have two fans but they are both smaller. also if it doesnt work i was thinking about going the belt driven clutch fan instead of going broke buying two electrics. any tips or comments are appreciated. i just want to get the damn thing running already.

early efi cars has single larger fans, it wasn't until later on that they went to two smaller fans, i think the one i pulled out of my parts car was a single 18" fan...the girl i bought it from said it never overheated

so thats good then. do you have a single cooling fan and how does it work? i also was thinking about installing one of those alternate switches that activate the fan earlier and run a toggle to the car that opens that circuit for the winter and emissions. i read about that in the cooling message board.

also about how much clearance is needed between the headers and the brake lines and fuel vapor line on the other side. i managed a couple of inches at most without seriously rerouting any of the lines.

the single v6 electric fan is plenty for a v8. i use an adjustable Hayden fan switch, and the engine will run in traffic all day at 160 degrees.
