What did you do at UNO (diploma program or degree?)? Get a job in a field you liked?

Yeah town is trash, I goto UNO, work at Sears in the mall and live 1 mile down from the mall near the corner of Brower(Edgewood) and Cole. I never leave that 1 mile unless i need to...lol

High Performance Auto Mechanics. I just got the diploma. Please do yourself a favor and get an associates. They told me i didnt need an associates unless i was going to start my own buisness. Well they are WRONG everyone asks if i have my associates, i have lost numerous jobs because of it. I am currently working at a dealer 3 miles away from me. Its ok but i need the experience before i even try to go anywhere.

I lived in a couple places. NP dorm 6 i think it was. Then in Crimewood i mean Pinewood apartments. They both sucked and *knock on wood* none of my **** got stolen, all of my roomates had stuff stolen. My car was sitting in the parking lot practically every night also. So yea that place sucks, we eventually started ISR Illegal Street Racing. I dont know if anyone continued it. But that was the only thing to do. We've had like 50 people wanting to go watch, but we were the Originators of it. We got video and everything. There are so many places out there, where cops arent, and there is open road. Well i could go on for hours, but i will leave u with this for now.

Matt

P.S. what class r u taking now, what teacher u have?

I lived 20 minutes from CMU. Went to many a parties there.

UNO is Universtiy of Northwestern Ohio. In Lima, OH, its a tech college for (soon to be)mechanics. You can get into deisel, HVAC, agriculture, High performance, auto tech...etc...

I am going for the degree, as I have transfered all the business classes from other colleges So I just have to crank through all the auto classes. Im in my third session and have had A/C, Manuals, and now Im in automatics. First school ive even been on the deans list...lol

CMU is well known as "party U" here in MI.

We get quite a few of you UNO grads here where I work (a major auto manufacturer)- I love to mess with you guys when you get a job here (LOL).

Where did that NEWBIE from Newberry go? I need some snow condition reports from up there in the YOOP! My Ski-Doo needs some good snow, ASAP!!

Ahh, the days of CMU baseball and football parties......my best friend went there and now plays for the Seattle Mariners, minors. Also another buddy of mine from high school was his roomate and plays in the NFL. Colts last year, but I heard hes in the 49ers and possibly cut

Good you can get me a job. Although working my butt off to keep a 3.9 GPA probably isnt going to help me much over someone with a lesser GPA My wife has her Bach. degree in Marketing/Management and graduated with 3.925GPA and it hasent helped much, all her friends who came to school drunk and got 2.0s have higher paying jobs! (Do you think it could be because I draged her to nowhere OH, lol???)

So it partially my fault, on her graduation day I said, well now its my turn. I had always wanted to goto UNO out of high school, but never did. After watching a late night UTI commercial I decided to stop "spinning my wheels" in $8-10hr jobs and go finsih my education, and here I am.

coolness...

SweetS10v8- Congrats on getting back into the whole school thing. I'm 21 and i'm just about to get my ***. after deciding a few years back to not be so concerned on my BA. My whole thing was, why spend 4 years working my @ss off only to have a degree to show to employers, when I can spend 2 working my @ss off, have a degree(even if it's lesser of one!) AND the job experience. Sure you can work FT while getting your BA, but I'd personally found out that it'd be better for me in the long run to work in the area of my interest for two years after my ***. and then go finish my BA, that way classes would be easier, and when it came time for law school selection, I'd have an edge on experience in the feild.

ANyways, my plans are to get ASE cert. between finishing my ***. and law school selection time. Wanting to go into Corp. Litigation...I figure why not have the new idea of being good with tools under the hood and being able to cover my own *** legally should something arise? Long run(dream job)= Own my own auto shop for 3rd gens & be my own companies attorney while being an attorney for other local shops at the same time.

hmmm...

...although there is that little thing called "conflict of interest", so I probablly wouldnt be able to be my own auto shops' atty. AND one for other local auto shops...oh well, theres always earning enough money to have a white collar corp. lit job and own my own shop on the side.

The snow conditions are awesome in and around Newberry, Grand Marais, Munising, Paradise, Rainbow Lodge, etc. We just got a foot of snow the last two days and there was a good base to ride on before that even.

Thats great news about the power tour, I'm going to drive down and do the last leg of it! I've been waiting for them to bring it close to Michigan. The woodward cruise sounds fun, not sure if I'll have time or money to do that.

We should organize something for St. Ignace

I added you to my AIM list. I know a few people that go to school up there, we might have a ski trip up to mqt. mountain if your interested.

*snow report for the snowsledders, plenty of base and at least a foot of powder with more falling everyday in and around newberry area, sault ste marie. I heard grayling has decent snow as well. Best time to ride is monday thru friday, weekends the trails get beat-to-snot from too much traffic.
