Help me fund my Thirdgen...by my old car!
Here it is...
1990 Plymouth Sundance
2.5L I-4 engine with automatic transmission.
153k miles on the car...I was told the transmission was rebuilt some 70k miles ago.
Here's what I've done to it.
All of the above has been replaced within the last 6 months (~5k miles). Also gave it a tune-up when I got it including...distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, drained/refilled coolant, oil change (last one was at a bit over 151k). I also replaced the rear hatch supports, but it still doesn't stay up all by itself because the shocks aren't strong enough to hold the hatch up w/ the spoiler. That's one problem with these cars is that the hatch is so damn heavy with the spoiler. The car has no air conditioning as the previous owner thought this was his little race car, hence the racing stripes. Don't let it deceive you, this car isn't fast. It beats the little Civic boys from time to time, and can pull out decently in traffic, but its no speed demon.
It has a really nice stereo system in it with an Alpine CDA-7892 head unit, two 3-way Pioneer 6x9's in the back (I believe front speakers are stock), and two 10" subs (500w each) in a nice box w/ plexiglass window powered by a Jensen JXP-720 stereo. Also includes a beefy 1-farad capacitor. All of this but the subs came with the car. I didn't like hte ones in it so I bought these.
As for the body, there are some rust spots above each of the rear wheels. Nothing too bad though really. You've seen much worse. I have more pics if you are interested to see them.
As for price, I bought the car for $1250, and all of the above cost me just over $1250. I'm looking to get $1300 for the car. I need it gone so I can buy a '91 Firebird that I want.
If you don't want the stereo, then $1100 takes it. Price is somewhat flexible, but I can't take too much of a loss on this because all of the money from this is going to my next car.
If you have any friends looking for a dependable daily driver, please let them know about this car. I need something faster!!
Any questions...email to dean@xibase.com or call me at 630-351-3499 and ask for Dean.
Edit: I have all of the emissions stuff working, but I have an extra air box for it anyways. This would be needed if you wanted the car to be able to suck warm air off of the exhaust manifold for cold starts. The current airbox just has the flap removed for a bit more airflow. The car also comes with a full-size car cover in good shape.
