is there anyone around the northwest suburbs of chicago? i never see any other third gens. i did see a loud blue one in rolling meadows but besides that nothing. lets meet up if there is anybody out here and do some street racing. (just kidding of course i would never illegally drag race, only talk about it)

Hey JC. I'm in Elk Grove, the only White GTA around as far as I can see. ^_^

My car is rolling out this sunday after being down with a blown transmission since August of last year But its going in, and I got some goodies on the side just waiting for the car to pass emissions. Heads, Cam, intake, and unfortunately no headers...the money isn't there due to unexpected expenses.

Tim(9d1burd) and I are probably going to yank the V6 this wednesday, or at least take a good look at what we need to do for the swap.

He's got the motor, harness, and ecm from a 87 305TPI all ready, so its just a matter of doing the work.

my car just barely passed emissions, it wouldnt pass anymore. i had to add the water pump. some guy in a mustang had car envy and tried to pick a fight with me at the emissions lane! that was a first. mounts, radiator, hoses, if you have headers u will have to reroute the brake lines, thats for the 3.1L. if u guys want to see what i did with mine let me know ill bring it out. also id like to see your cars and steal the wheels and tires if they are nice. jk

I'll be there around eleven in my black 78 "Z", and probably hang around the festivities for a couple of hours.

Talk about some thoroughbread iron, there was alot to absorb at the Dude Fest, which was even bigger and jumpin' with all the particpants and onlookers. Some great, active midwest car groups were well represented:lala:
