insurance? mn especially

ok im looking at getting back into trans am's..ive missed the f-bodys..and i can remember that when i had my last one that insurance wasnt all that bad..granted i was under a parents insurance policy..

just checked out progressive..and for a 89 t/a with a 305 ..state minimum was like 477 for six months..does that sound low or high or average..

now take in effect that i am 21..but i havent had any accidents or anything in the past three years..prolly since i havent had a trans am is why i havent had any exhibitions or speeding tickets..lol..

so what you guys all pay for insurance in the area..?
thanks guys

Dude I sell progressive in my office in Ny and to me that souns like a bargin. Progressive is a strong stable company, but my adivce it usually is less then $50 for 6 months to up the limits get higher then state minimum g-d forbid you do want to protect yourself.

i was sut saying that was for liability or yes state minimum..i havent really decided what i would want for insurance.i might be making this car in a street/strip car so it wouldnt see the road except for like a friday or saturday night.so then i think liability wold be fine..but yes i agree that if i were to drive it like most days that i would want more protection...not saying that im goin to crash it but to protect me from some idiot hitting me..or scratching it in some parking lot..

I'm 35+ and just had two legal infractions (read: caught) for no insurance ...I'll be redoing all this business under the first ticket's suspension, since expired... my rate may be a bit higher.. I have to do one payment of $212 or something... Will be making two month's fees to get rolling...have to also take the written test and pay $30 fee along with proper submitting of paperwork. My court date for second offense is next month so this is heavy on my mind. Luckily the impounded car (first (purchased two) '88 Deville in pic, no title) I didn't have an idea of what to do with, so it was abandoned. My Firebird is still not road worthy but for all early cars insured by American Family... the rates are typically lower. I also have The Club for theft prevention. Prior to the fiasco, my record was good. I had a forgotten ticket that really added to my problems since the 1st of the year....long story and hoping to get back behind the wheel legally again. Still need a radiator though...

Got insurance reapplied... hopefully this week, the test and wahtever else. My rate, with infraction and restarting is around 1260 a year maybe, off the top of my head

About $1200 a year for full coverage for just the GTA. State Farm, they have taken care of me. I have 3 tickets in the last 5 years and 2 accidents on record.

In Michigan it costs me $53/month for full coverage through State Farm when the car's out. During the winter months, $5/month.
