ok i had done this like three years ago when i had my trans am's before..
im looking at setting up an f-body tour and fun day...it will be this spring though but needing to know what kind of interest is in this..
basically we can get together at a local spot and then cruize through a few different places around the area..and then end up at park and have a big cook-out and what not else..
we cruized from hutch to wayzata past fletchers then up to st.cloud and then back towards litchfield past grove creek raceway and then ended at hutch again by optimist park where we had some games of softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and a big cookout..
this year i would like to extend the cruize and then maybe see if i could get a sponsor to rent out grove creek raceway and maybe do some grudge match drags..
also just wondering where all the mn member are from?
im from Hutchinson and the Watertown area...

I'm just west of the Twin Towns, but I'm the least sports minded person here I'd wager, but the drags sound cool...even to film those grudge matches. Where is that? I don't travel too far, to be honest, but my car's in sore shape and still not running right. Not ready to show off for a few years I'd think hehe. I'm still going to try to fix it though I have to wipe out all my built up debt over the last few years. Credit card, etc.
I hadn't been to the regional board, but it's nice to find local deals/shops/help/parts

just make it on a sunny day
oh and im not much of a sports guy either, id rather go screw around and get some track time in (never raced at a track before) but i definitely like to eat so a cook off or BBQ would be awesome

Pequot Here.
Not to sure about a cruise though. It depends if you cruise near me & what type of shape my Rs is in at the time.
Check with some of the guys at www.mnfbody.com
I'm sure they would participate & most of them are based in the Twin Cities.

Im in Lakeville and would be down for a cruise! It would have to be like late spring or summer for me to be interested though cause I may not be done with the car. I still have to pull and rebuild the 356 and install new heads and intake...hopefully shoot me up towards 350-375 rwhp range. And I have to paint the kameleon flames in my engine bay still. but cant do that till spring!
I would deffantlly like to hit the track even though its an 1/8, my car loves the 1/8 mile (Gotta love lotsa low end TQ)

For sake of argument, would there be concern on all these gathered cars being in fine shape or come as you are? hehe
Mines' been out year-round and actually upon recent repairs it occurs to me it had been sitting still for nearly 12 months with an occasional startup though. It runs rough [nearer to idle and slow upshift from the auto] even now, not sure what all is at fault, though some people I know would say 'everything'

Count me in as a possible attendee...depending on the date, of course
I live near Rockford, which is about 35-40 miles west of Mpls...near Buffalo.
I have never been the the Litchfield 1/8 mile track, but would consider going...and the cruise idea seems pretty cool.

My vote is that if it is drivable, you should attend
Neither of my cars is on the road right now...the GTA needs paint/body work, while the Camaro looks great, but currently needs some engine work.
Something will be on the road by Spring though

Mine's currently drivable for about 45 minutes total but I let it sit running while grabbing a magazine and soda after driving for several miles, at that point my temp guage was nearing the redline! I have replaced the radiator and thermistat but have a leaking valve gasket so the coolant needs constant checking.... it's still a long work in progress project I guess

I'm up for it but I have two ugly cars right now and I don't know if I can trust one of them. I'll be more positive this spring.
