Ahhhhhhhhhhhh......tomorow is the day. I went out to start the car tonight to load her onto the trailer and the she cranked and cranked and nothing happened....... Vrooom Vrooom Vrooom Vroom Vrooom, but no startup....
. After all of that, my trailer lights quit working this afternoon.....
Could it get any worse? We worked on the trailer all evening, as I can still load up the car and get it there and get it going at Indy, but can't if the lights don't work.....
We are leaving at 11am, just 12 hours away
I think the alarm clock is gonna be going of REALLLLLY early tomorrow to get it al done.....

I went to super chevy yesterday and I seen alot of your cars but I was unable to meet up with any of you. Jbenge, I stood by your car for a few minutes but couldn't find you so I went to watch NITRO COUPES. It was great. Not exactly the turnout we were hoping for but I think the weather had something to do with that. I got a great deal on a 2500-2800 stall. It was 50 dollars. Could not pass it up. Sorry I missed everyone, I am sure I will get to meet you guys eventually.

I went yesterday too...thought I seen 911rsq's car but didnt see anyone by it...wasnt as good as a turnout as I thought it would be, I thought there would be more vendors and cars....but I picked up some pistons, rings, oil pan, gaskets, oil pump...dress up kit all for about $200....not to bad of deals on vendors but I thought the cam and lifter kit sohuldve been a little cheaper, it was about 165...but all in all I thought it was pretty cool...does anyone know where I can get cheap cam and lifter kits at?

I didn't really get a chance to clean her up at all do to the sudden and unexpected ignition issues the night before (from my earlier post). I pulled the cap on the distributor and found that the contacts on both the cap and rotor were wasted and the HEI module was the original GM unit from way back in '91. replaced all that stuff and she runs MUUUUUCCCCCHHHHHH better.
Sorry I missed you guys that made it out. I was out checkin the swap meet area and got some cool new stuff for the toys
The Hot Rod SuperNationals are coming to my hometown this year..... SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you guys get to come to that. It's in August. I have to work on one of the days, but will be out there for every minute that I don't have to be inside. Hope to see you all there.
P.S. Did everyone check out that 12.000 mile original '92 convertible at Super Chevy???? Man was that thing sweeeeeeet!!!!!!

I saw your car there. Man there wasn't many thirdgens there. I am wihing I would have thrown the rest of mine together and trailered it up now.
Did you see the white 1LE car in the swap meet? Looked like it had a quicky paint job, but other than that...

That white 1LE was out there for sale last year too. I crawled around it and under it last year and found out that it is pretty beat down. Both sides of the car are pretty wavy..... Still, a 1LE would be well worth the money to fix it up.... He was askin' $4,800 for it I think.....
You should have trailered her up, even if you didn't get her all done. A lot of the cars there stayed on the grounds over night, so you could have dropped if off on Friday and then picked her up after 4pm on Sunday. The teal one with the supercharger was pretty nice. I think my FAVORITE 3rd gen there was actually in the pro-street area. It is BRIGHT YELLOW and was supercharged and fuel injected..... SWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT

I missed that car. The 1LE look rough judging from the paint job, and white is always a color to paint to hide a rough body.
The teal car with the blower was nice, but I tought it could really use a different wheel and tire combo. That big blower looked out of place with those little wheels. Says all show no go to me. But I guess it was a show car anyway. I did like how the stock seats were recovered.
I was kicking myself for not bringing mine, after seeing the low turn out, I think I could have walked away with something, at least in our class.
There always next year! Of course, I'll probably race it, and our bracket car.

The teal one in the back ground of the first and last pic has a supercharger. I got several pics of it from last year, so I didn't go overboard with it. Same goes for the yellow I posted from last year that is pretty much pro-street. I have lots of the vert cause I am starting to build up my vert, so I got closeups of nearly everything on that red one. There was a blue one that faded down to silver that had everything molded in...... ground effects, bumper covers......everything. It was neat, but not my cup-o-tea. Here's a pic of it......

Overall, there were several very nice 3rd Gens there, but nothing too over the top. I was really hoping the turnout from everyone here was gonna be higher, but then again I was away from my car for most of Saturday.......swap meet...
I was really looking forward to maybe seeing an LS1 3rd gen there, but no dice. I'd like to see how it's done up close.

i wanted to go... just couldn't make it in time. several of my lsx swap parts just didn't get to me fast enough.
as far as the picture above, any head on shots or closer pictures as i'd like to see how that sheet metal or whatever is in there is mounted.

Well, if you'da gotter done, it would have been one of the very few ls1 swaps out there. I think I saw 4 or 5 throughout the show, and that was for ALL of the cars, not just 3rd gens. No 3rd gen LSx swaps...
Here is the only other pic I have of that car with the engine panels. It's not really of the engine area, but you can see some of the brackets in this pic......

The were huge, but I sent them out to ya....
Anyone else have any good pics? I think I have most of the cars posted. I think there was 1 or 2 more, but this is most all of who were parked in the 3rd gen area.....
