Anybody going to Super Chevy in INDY this year?
Well, this is my goal, to get my camaro painted and back on the road in time to drive it to the Super Chevy show this year. Will probably be racing this year so, the camaro will likely just be sitting in the pits, but I would like to drive it up just because. I have a bet going with a family member who says it won't happen, so I've got to concentrate!
Hope to see some fellow 3rd geners out there!

I'll be there in Code38 and maybe, just maybe my new red '89 RS that I just picked up from ol' CrazyN8....
That is, if I get the 2nd one done in time....
P.S. I hope I don't wreck her again less than a mile from the show....

Cool, hopefully I will be driving up in my freshly painted and Stealth Ramed 88 IROC. Be coming up from Southern Indiana.
Look for a Sunset Orange IROC with probably no interior, in the pits with a Red 1955 Cevy Bel Air with a big block. I will be the guy driving it, hopefully, we will get to race it this year.

We will be there with bells on for sure. I hope you will come over and check out the 3rd gens there. There weren't a lot of them last year, but the ones that WERE there were really cool......

The swap meet people are really proud of their JUNK...But you can get great deals at the venders though. I saved $50 over catalog on a polished high-flow water pump and BG dual fuel line kit.

I'm not sure where that drag strip is at, but here is a link to the Super Chevy Show website. If you scroll down the 2005 locations are listed on the left....

it will be tough with IN being the week right after martin but ohio is in may so i may shoot for that one first and then skip martin to go to indy. which ever shows have the most entries is where i want to be.

i'm lucky if any show is less then one hour from my area and in most cases i have at least a 4-5 hour drive.

IN. has way to many car shows for that state..

Well guys, a little update on my car. Finally getting all the loose ends finished up, and boy there are a bunch. Been doing all the body work myself too, in my spare time. Will be getting the last coat of primer on monday, and a few days of wetsanding it, will be ready for the paint.
I am still on scheduale to be ready in time for Super Chevy, although I will probably not have any interior in it other than 2 seats and belts.
Happy days are almost here!

thanks for the supported interest guys...
i'm skipping martin with plans to check out Indy, but it will depend on how far the car comes along. i finally finish the mock up of everything, but i'd like to have it all in paint. I'm starting to strip it apart and get ready for paint next week but that doesn't leave me alot of time and i don't want to rush. i also don't want to bring it out in primer, which could be done but i'm considering it just for fun as i can't go a whole summer without a show or two. we'll have to see.

Doug..... can't wait to meet you and get to see the GTA. Good luck on getting the new motor in her. Those last minute changes can be really fun. We changed the trans in mine 3 days before the show last year.

We should figure out a way to meet, or a way tho know who's car is who's.
Mine will be the bright orange with the jongblod hood. And probably no interior!
I am not sure if I will make it up Saturday, but will be there Sunday.
As long as all goes to plan that is.

It would be nice if everyone would post a pic of there cars so I know who to look for. I will post one of mine soon. I am not hard to miss there though, I am the one that looks like a kid in a candy store. Wait, I am sure that will be everywhere. I love super chevy, it makes me happier than a retard eating cheetos, LOL, just kidding.

How many people that are going have a thirdgen.org t-shirt or hat. I will have one by then. If everyone has one then they should wear theirs.

Was ahead of schedule, now a little behind.
I will still go, if not with car, you never know what you'll find there!

It should be pretty easy to find the 3rd gens as Super Chevy has a class just for them. They should all be parked close to one another. If it helps, here's a pic of mine in my sig. There were really only 2 stock 82-92's there last year, so mine should be easy to spot.

I will be there, but there is no way the camaro will be. Still got a few things to do, plus get it legal, not enough time, or money (esp. money) to get everything taken care of.

I'll definately be there. I'm planning on racing friday and maybe saturday and doing the show part Sunday. Not for sure yet if I'll race or be in the show on Saturday, probably depends on how many runs i get in on Friday.
nick05,
Theres lots of stuff in the swap meet area, body and engine parts. Usually the prices tend to be high, so I don't normally buy much unless its small stuff or hard to find. I like the manufactures booths and new parts vendor area better, sometimes you can find some decent deals on that stuff.

I'm not even close to being ready, but I will be there. We got all of our reservations taken care of last Friday and all I have to do is fix everything on the car, wash, wax, clean engine and wheels, load, and go......
