You bet i'll line up. Not exactly sure what it runs. This will be my first time ever launching a stick, so it may be kinda pathetic. it has some stuff done to it, full bolt ons and such, another motor is in the works currently.

I wasn't really going for times, track prep kinda sucked, my best was a 8.58, and thats with a passenger
Even with Drag Radials, I was playing hell to hook in third and second, let alone first. My friend with the Red Iroc, he was running drag radials too, and he could hardly keep the thing in a straight line. his best was a 8.8 i believe, yet once he gets traction, he starts reeling me in
I had a great time, and learned a few techniques on launching a stick. Everyone else post your times.

Best I could muster friday night was an 8.58. Spun like crazy the whole way. I don't think the track prep was really to blame, it was the combination of being the very first event run this season, 30* temps, and lots of dew.
Ran the saturday test and tune yesterday, got a new best of 8.35 with the mufflers on, also got a new best mph of 84.11.

Well I have to say, I had a lot of fun friday night. It was my first time actually getting to run on track, however, I never imagined traction would be such an issue. I did manage to get one pass in with a 2.1 60' time and crossed the line at 8.92. All the other runs for the day were 2.4+ 60' times, but at least now that I have a baseline I can start getting the car tuned and get rid of those damned 2.77's in the rear =)

I hope to see everyone out again at the next one! Don't let the traction get to ya. Most likely the next one will be held after a regular friday night test and tune, so it'll be in A LOT better condition, and hopefully we wont have to be rocking the winter gear!
Final car count was 143 racers, and 483 spectators! One helluva good time I thought.

Sorry about that Josh, I won every race except my second to last one. Which happened to be against you. Note to self, car's rev limiter is at 6k for a reason, blasted 2nd gear.
It was an incredible turnout. Final tally for us coming from des moines and Pella, was 19 cars, and 2 bikes! There where tons and tons of F-bodies there.
I just hope my 10 bolt holds up till I can get a 9in.

Hey cool, if you want to send it over I'd really appreciate it!
Was it a black 2g? If so, I have a video of that run from the tower, but it's always cool to see it from other views
BTW I'm Camaro7234 over on the eddyville board.

I got the video! Thanks!
I think the car actually was stock, I half-way know the guy who owns it, he told me it was a stock gst. He used to have a pretty heavily built gst, but sold it, saying he wanted to start with a fresh, stock, car.
