Does anyone know where I can find a site that i can find the restrictions of what or what not is street legal in the state of Missouri. I am trying to figure out if tail light covers are legal along with some other miscellaneous parts.

Re: Car Laws

Did you try the dept of motor vehicles in Missouri? Better yet, next time you see a cop, ask him.

Re: Car Laws

This is a touchy subject. One cop will say one thing and others will say the other. Either way you are getting their attention. Is that something you want? Taillight covers usually aren't that big of a deal though and I haven't heard of a cop bugging anyone about them around here.

A buddy of mine was constantly being bugged about his exhaust and some exterior mods on his truck. He was planning to get a lawyer to look up the laws and list them in a letter to show the police when he got pulled over. I'm not sure what ever became of that though.

Personally I just stay away from all of that stuff. I guess I'm lucky that I like the way my car looks from the factory.

most officers will go on their opinion which isn't fair. having been around for awhile i'd suggest against them. if you are really into that look spend the same amount to have a body shop tint your lights just don't go to dark. any reputable shop can do this for you for the same price of tail lights. no one will steal them and you'll have less chance of getting pulled over.
