Road trip from MO to Third Gen Fest
I was thinking about going to Third Gen Fest this year. I dont want to drive up there by myself. I was wondering if anyone from MO would like to road trip up there with their third gen. I think it would be cool if several of us drove up there in all of our cars together.

Re: Road trip from MO to Third Gen Fest
I have one person so far that wants to drive together. There has got to be more people from MO wanting to go. Or at least I hope!!!!!!
Re: Road trip from MO to Third Gen Fest
I wouldn't mind going myself & I'm fairly confident my car would make it back alive but gas is high as heck & I'm almost afraid to drive it up to Chicago for that reason alone.

Hit up www.team3rdgen.com, there's a couple people from there going to TGF, and they're from Missouri. It's a St Louis based website actually.
I'm not going unfortunately...I have already made my reservation for the Fbody Gathering in Atlanta that same weekend.

It shouldn't be too hard to find a group to come up with. We've have good sized groups come up from the St. Louis area in the past I think quite a few were planning to come up again this year.
Hopefully we'll see a bunch of you guys here. We're expecting our biggest turnout ever this year so it should be a great event as always.

Don't let your car's appearance keep you from coming. We have plenty of project and daily driven cars here every year. In fact, we added a "Best Project" class this year to encourage more cars like that to show up.

sometimes the "project" cars get more attention than the finished ones anyways, doesn't hurt to bring it and get new ideas or talk to people about how they finished theirs up.
Heck I brought mine up one year with no nose, fenders, doors, or hatch/rear bumper

mmmm hmmmm. no one messes with the cooler at TGF. Must be well stocked and have cold frothy beverages.
Re: Road trip from MO to Third Gen Fest
Well, mine isn't much of a project either, per se, but now I'm thinking about going.
I've been an F-body fan since I was 16 and picked up my second third gen, first I've actually owned myself, in February, an 89 Iroc out of Georgia. Runs and drives great, just needs a few interior odds and ends, fender work (big dent), and paint, as soon as I've saved up enough money for it, oy.

When Is it?
If I can find a job in time I'll go. My Parents won't let me get a car 'til I get a job. It'l definitely be a 3rd gen.

Re: Road trip from MO to Third Gen Fest
Was planning on going just to check out all the cars, but sadly i was "laid off" friday and "replaced" with a new guy on monday... Shows how much tracker marine cares about there workers after a tottal of 3 1/2 years of working for them, (2 years at the plant i was at and 1 1/2 at the old plant that closed)
So limited funds i have are going to bills and with all my newly found free time and no longer needing to drive my 3rd gen every day to my no longer existing job, all my time and extra money (haha extra) will be going into paint and body work on my camaro.
So i'll be fixing door dings and 1 rust spot this weekend. Take lots of photos for me guys.
