Rt.66 May 4th . . . Be There . . . It's gonna be awesome ! ! !

Okay, I know several of you have mentioned heading over to Rt.66 on May 4th. Just thought I'd remind everyone about it, and about how cool it would be to show up there on the 4th.

Should be a pretty interesting day to say the least. Not only should we have a bunch of us thirdgenners and friends up there, but the HOTROD Power Tour will be stopping by around 2pm and staying to around 9pm or later. With the Tour stopping by, there should be dozens of nice rides to check out. Hell, there might even be some magazine coverage, you never know.

I plan on heading up there around noonish, and dragging a couple buddies with me. I'll be claiming my stake in the parking lot and setting up a grill and a cooler so I can make a day out of it.

Several of you have mentioned that you've been to Rt.66, and you know how sweet it can be when you pull your car up to that staging line. For those of you that haven't been there yet, trust us when we say it's bad ass!!

Running at Rt.66 makes you feel like you're in a jetfighter when you roll up to that line....The pavement stretches out in front of you like an airstrip runway wide as hell. I seriously got butterflies in my stomach the first time I brought the revs up and launched my T/A at Rt.66, and I still do. Nothing quite like a full out high-speed run to make yer day!

I'll hopefully be bringing along a couple other guys. I'll have the all black '86 Trans Am with GTA wheels. My friend Tadd (silverbird) will hopefully be bringing his silver '69 Firebird with black top, and John will be in a 1970 forest green Camaro with white racing stripes.

So, who all plans on trying to be there??? Let's hear it.

ZZ4, Mini-ram, true duals, LT4 HotCam, AFR 195 heads.

will appear as a stranger"

Wish I could be there. Two problems, car is still in the body shop and I have to work. I will be there for the NHRA race on June 1st and again in August for Super Chevy. Maybe I'll be able to catch up with some of you then.

Grrrrrrrr......Called the track yesterday, and they said they open the gates at 4pm which is conflicting with what time the HOTROD Power Tour is supposed to show up (at 2pm). I'm going to show up around two I guess.
