Re: new to the forum world

Itd be more fun with more money. Lol. I've swapped ls engines in a few of my vehicles before. It took me about 10 hours or so to strip the engine down, rebuild, and stuff it in. Then i find out my $200 t56 needs a rebuild. Ha! Who woulda guessed.

Welcome. I have had many times without much $. So I say from experience, if you want something bad enough, you can find a way to get it.
When my wife got hurt and couldn't work, I started selling things on Ebay. When my car broke down, I cleaned tools and parts for a local mechanic twards his labor. I Helped with all the repairs and learned how to take care of my own vehicles. Believe me I was a novice then. Good luck!

So Plum92, do you live in Cedar Falls? I grew up there but now live in KC. Don't be surprised to see my Blue 91 Formula up there this summer.

No, I'm an hour SW of CF. Close enough to go whenever the urge strikes.

Ah. Closer to Des Moines. I hope I see a few more 3rd gens this summer than last. Last year I saw only 6 in KC. I know there are more out there, but so few get driven.

Welcome to the forums brother! I can tell you in my younger days where many was severely scarce, yet I had this expensive hobby, I had to leverage entertainment eating, and going out with the thought "do I need this food/experience, or can I put the money I would spend aside for the headers I want ?" Sacrifices were made.. I got the headers
