Longshot but, looking to find my '88 Black/ Gold 5.7L Iroc with VIN 1G1FP2181JL177882. Would have been purchased late '89 early '90 from the former Fencl-Tufo in Glendale Heights, IL by someone near River Forest, IL. After buying brand new, I traded it in not even two years later for a stupid Blazer. CarFax doesn't show anything since 1998 emission test, whatever that may indicate.

Probably the only agency that might have any information is your state's DMV. And at that, I have no idea if they would share ownership info with random inquirers, but it's likely to be your only shot at finding out if it is still registered, or at least who registered it last.

 

Yeah, I don't think they will be much help because of the whole privacy thing nowadays. Just putting out there in the community so maybe one day someone will come across it. Thanks for the feedback!

 

Sounds like it's gone into hiding somewhere...long term storage, or maybe gone.
