More modfest info here!
Yes, I will need help! Bring yourself some drinks, some burgers or dogs, and some stuff like that. I'll have a BRAND NEW barbeque (thanks to the new Michigan propane bottle legislation) plus an ice chest or two full of ice.
I need Gravitar to bring his MIG welder and let me know ASAP as to what kind of electrical outlet it needs. I have a guy coming over who is willing to do some of the welding if we prepare the SFC's for him.
I've only received email replies from FOUR people so far: Andrew G, Greg, Nicholas, and Steve.
BTW, other stuff you need to bring is your parts and any special tools you need to get them in place. I have air tools. We could probably do some spring modifications for the car, however I dont think I have the oxygen needed to heat and rebend the last coil on your springs, Poncho.
I do however, have an idea or two for you so that you can make a functional ram air. Lemme see, where did I keep that wallet size photo of my ram air....

Here's another idea that I tried. I'll only post the link since it's 133KB photo.

Essentially I cut a 4-inch hole through the tray where the charcoal cannister sat, then routed a four inch dryer duct to the home made fiberglass scoop. It worked great. I took it out when I converted to the cowl induction pictured above.

I have a big sign on the wall that says:
WARNING YOU ARE ENTERING THE TESTOSTERONE ZONE:
(no girls allowed. no pink cars allowed. no 4-cylinders allowed, unless equipped with forced air induction. No music allowed except Classic Rock.)
---------------------------------
Of course you can come over! Diagnostic opinions on noises are ALWAYS free but come with no warranty...

Where's Gravitar?
He has not posted since April 24th, and he is not answering my emails. He was the one with the mig welder and I'm not even sure he is coming. Anyone heard from him lately? If he doesnt show, then there will not be any subframe installations at modfest. I dont have a welder yet!

Almost time.....
It looks like Gravitar is going to be a no show, so I dont have a MIG welder to do subframe connectors
However, I do have a significant number of other tools that we can use. I also have a couple of ice chests full of ice on which to put your drinks.
If you have jackstands, please bring them. Here's a sample list of things you might like to bring:
--------------------------
Jackstands and hydraulic jack, if you have a good one. Mine's cheap and old.
Your tools, if you own any. Epecially specialized tools if you need them.
Drinks and food , enough for yourself. Consider this a "potluck dinner" arrangement!
Sunblock, a folding chair, a hat, and anything else you like to use when lounging.
Your speed parts (of course!) You can't have mine!
Your camera
Hand cleaner and extra rags.
Paper towels.
Trash bag for your trash. You have to take it home when you are done as my trash can is full.
----------------------
I'm providing you the venue, and maybe some advice so you'll all have to pitch in and help each other. I'll probably spend minimal time under your car except if you are stuck.
----------------------
My "mod" is going to be the setup of the lower end of my new motor, along with the installation and degreeing of the cam.
The address is:
1180 Haslett Road
Haslett, MI 48840
We'll be starting at approximately 9 AM. I can provide some coffee & doughnuts for starters. How's that sound?
Hope to see you all there!

I want to thank everyone that showed up to help work on the cars today: Nick, Chris, Chris's friend, and 95Z. The weather was perfect. I finally got the oilpan fitted to the MR385 shortblock and now I am again excited about this project!
