Grudge resolved. Blew away 472 big block.

Okay, I think this is pretty funny. A couple months ago I was sitting in my truck at a stop light near work when a station wagon pulls up next to me. It was obnoxious. Ugly, beat, and a nasty flame job on the front. The lanes merged from 2 into 1 so one of us had to go first. I figured I would dust him off and be on my way. The light turns, I hit the gas,..... and this guys WASTES me! I think I was barely moving when he was already in front and pulling away. Then I notice a chunky set of tires under the back end. I later find out this thing, despite being a wagon, has a 472 big block. Not a race car but not shabby either.

So... Guess who I meet yesterday while driving the Vette? This guy does a flyby on me on the freeway and a couple miles down the road gets caught at the same exact light we met the first time. I change lanes and pull up next to him just because he wasted me before. PAY BACK, BABY! As I approach he's roasting his rear tires and smoke is pouring off them Gotta admit, that's the first time I've seen that! So I get next to him and he starts revving. I look over at him and reach up and turn ON the traction control. Yep, that's right folks. It was raining and the roads were wet. I don't care if he has 1000Hp.... he's losing today The light turns and we both hit it. He busts loose and I take off like I've got glue on my tires. I waste him by at least 10 lengths by 60mph and shut down. I don't care if it was a wagon or not. When somebody is that obnoxious it's fun to waste him no matter what they drive!

Although this could get really bad when we meet again under the assumption that he's able to pull me. You notice I said "when." He works one building down from me. We see each other on the road regularily. I can see a horsepower war developing on the horizon. If he sprays it just to beat me I swear I'll finish the 'Bird and blow his doors off the road.

That's what I like to hear. Where was this at? I have a wagon in mind, not sure if its the same one or not...

Hey man, your bird is awsome. If i were you, i'd keep it, but if you do sell it, someone is deffinetly going to be VERY happy. Just out of curiosity, what are you asking for the entire car?

Thank, Capn. I'd rather not talk price on the forum. If you want to know how much it costs then shoot me an e-mail. You better be sitting down though... it's pretty expensive.

I'll say, you've got some top notch hardware. BTW that 'Vette is pretty darn nice too!

BTW Guys, I've got the mini web page up from today. I'm no master photographer, matter of fact I've done much better. But, hey, it gives us something to look at.

Thanks, Greg. From your sig, your car sounds pretty wicked.

The wheels are made by ROH and are the RT style. You can find them at www.groupawheels.com . My wheels are the 17x9 and have the satin finish. I wish they had offered them in a larger width because the rear can take a lot more tire.

I bet you need at least 12 inch wide tires for your car Jon, cause I will need some 10-inch ones...

Not really. Suspension and tire selection is far more important. You go too wide and you start losing side wall flex. My tires on a 9-inch rim will hook better than on a wider rim.

Oh ya! I heard someone yell my name but when I looked around I didn't see anyone. I probably didn't look that far across the parking lot. Ya, I went in to get a haircut at Raylene's.

I still think you should've kept insurance on both that and the LeMans.

BTW - I got a haircut today since we're all talking about that
