Mostly CAMARO owners on this site?
It just SEEMS like almost every thread is about CAMARO/ Z/28/ and IROC owners needing help. Cmon guys, where are all the GTA/ Trans Am/ Formula and Firebird owners. It's not my imagination that when there is a car show, tons of CAMARO'S show up and dam few Birds. I know when I was selling Pontiac's, that the GTA was the pinnacle of performance and looks in the late 1980's.
even with this huge club, most of the owners seemed concerned with upgrading and restoring their CAMARO'S and the Firebird guys are just absent. Now with the death of PONTIAC, it would seem that this should inspire most owners to want to keep a piece of history and soon I would also guess the retail value of those that are in very nice condition will start to appreciate. Growing up I have always been a PONTIAC guy when I bought new (1965 GTO tri-power/ 1967 GTO H.O./ 1976 G.P./ 1985 G.P./ 1989 Turbo Trans Am/ 1991 Formula 350/ 1993 G.P./ 2002 G.P. and a 2008 G8 GT).

You just aren't looking very hard.
But....I do believe that the Camaro production was more than the Firebird production #s.

Miscellaneous Third Gen Stuff!
Brochures, models, prom burning stuff....post that here. This is a Classifieds forum, not a Miscellaneous discussion forum. All non-Classified postings here will be removed.

We don't have a non-tech, lounge, area. ThirdGen.org is strictly a 'tech-only' website and has been for quite some time (years).
I'd have to say it is what it is. You said there doesn't seem to be many Pontiac guys on this site (and I agree with Stephen, they are here - I'm one of them), but then you said not many at the car show either. I would agree the Camaro owners/cars seem to outnumber the Firebird and there is a likely reason. As Stephen also said, the Camaro production during the ThirdGen run had greatly outran the Firebird side each year - sometimes double the production. That's a lot more Camaros out there than Firebirds for the ThirdGen run.
