LoL Big
Hey I've lived in Mass most of my life (Milford). Now living in Rhode Island just on the border though. Mass is a walk away. (central falls)
My third gen?? If I can find some strong quick people I can cut holes in floor and beat the mustangs flinstone style
No motor in it and Im basicly giving it away at this point. It's been sitting for about 6-7 years. Long story
Anyway Its a 87 Z28 and I dont really like it anyway. Im saving up for a nice GTA (I love FireBirds so much better). My mind is set real late 80's style before they made the rounded nose.

yea we should do something before the winter. Have any of you ever been to Riley's Roast Beef in Framingham, they have a muscle car gathering there every saturday night. I'm not sure if it is still going on. If not, we will think of a place, time, and something to do.

I've never heard of it & yes it is very late in the year for a gathering, but if there is one I'll go. If not then I'll just have more stuff to talk about next year if there is a gathering.I love making huge car(motor plans) for the winter months. But I'll make it to the track @ least one more time before I put her away for the winter

im at rileys every single saturday night...it is late i nthe year but there are still lots of people there...not as many as july but it still fills the area, still a great time...if ur into old muscle cars as well as new stuff its a great local show. i think itd be great to get together there although i dont want people to travel a long way and be disapointed so lets make sure we can get a few people together...there also might not be a lot of room for us to all park together but if ur familiar with the are...if u wanted we could all park in the supermarket lot across the street where few people park but its still kinda in the show...and if we had lots of cars, we could attract attention...time is ticking this year but we could still meet there some saturday...or anywhere else...im willing to drive a long way, i dont know about anyone else. i want it to be a fun thing for everyone...aight, im just trailing on and on...let me know and try to get others interested.
im 18 and my car is in my sig...hopefully crane AFPR, airfoil, new ignition coil, and modified MAF this weekend.

got any good excuses for getting out of practice? if I could go wouldn't I have to leave like right after school to make it to NH? How long does it take to get there? I've been there before but not a direct drive to it, nor was I in my car. So how long do you think it takes to drive there? street night opens at 5 right? and runs 6-10? You guys ran the 1/4 before? Have and tips or pointers, or wanna share experiences?

Your racin' at the track thats a good enough reason they'll understand.
Thats what I tell my boss all the time. Well seeing as though you live in Upton, 495 is right at your back door. Where about in Upton do you live? I haven't been out that way in a long time, actually wait i was out there today
But since my gf moved out of upton I have no reason to be out there. Usually takes us about an hour and 20 minutes. We usually leave around 4 or 4:30 and get there around 5:30-6. Racing ends around 10 oclock but we usually leave before then so we're back in the area around 11:00. Ive raced many times there before with the Iroc. Haven't been up too many times this year, only once back in April but that was with my 305. Can't wait to see what my 350 will do
I ran a best of 15.3 @ 88mph with the tired ol' 305. But last time we got there around 5:30 and there was only about 10 other cars there so I made about 4 passes non stop until about 6 or a little after 6 til it got busier. Then the ***** crowd comes around 7
But not too many of them thank *** but enough to be an annoyance. Racing isn't that hard, usually if your a first timer, the people at the staging lanes wil be willing to help you stage and all of that, then after that you just have to worry about how your gonna hook up so your not doing this off the line...

Is it better to "warm" up your tires in the burnout lane before going? Usually when I practice my hole shots around here, I brakestand to about 2500rpms to the limit before my tires would let loose. And I manually shift my auto 1, 2, then D.
Considering the fact that i'm only 17 and not 18 do I need a parent or something to get a waiver signed? I tried sending New England Dragway an email asking about that and I did not get a response. Would I need a parent or just someone over the age of 18?
How does the whole process go from getting there? Don't they inspect your car? What is that like and what do they look for?
Do you just get set up against a random person on street night?
I live in east upton on the boarders of milford/mendon/and hopkinton and yes 495 is very close. I would need directions though cause I don't know how to get there from my house.

Its basically a straight run once you get on 495. If anything you could follow us up there cause we basically know where we are going. Its actually easier for you because your right at 495, for us we'd have to hop on 290 out of Worcester to 495. Your 17...that shouldnt be a problem, I was racing there before I was 18 and I didn't remember having to sign any waivers. Plus most of us are 20 or 21 and over anyways so if the rules changed I dont think you'll have anything to worry about. When we pull up to the main entrance, you pay your fee (i think they up the price from 15 to 17?) and who ever is with you in the car if you decide to bring someone along has to pay a 10 dollar spectator fee. Then you will proceed to brong your car to the tech inspection line. There while you wait for a tech to look at your car you have to fill out a tech card...make model, milage engine etc...then they inspect your car, they jus look for the usually safety things, bald tires, seatbelts, hood can stay shut, radiator fluid overflow bottle, battery termanals are on tight, mabke sure all the lug nuts are on too and thats about it. And if you go up, make sure to wear long pants and no sandles! there wont let you go down the track with shorts on. As far as burning out, you can if you want when you pull up to the water box, but most of us jus go around it but you can doa lil one to get the tires nice and sticky, but if you have dont have toruble spinning off the line, i wouldn't worry about it, i didn't with the 305 just a little, the 350 i think im gonna have problems
But you need traction badly, spinning off the line is gonna hurt your ET. just somethings to think about. Have anymore questions let me know.....email adress is BadIroc88@aol.com feel free....later

When I ran the 15.3 all i had for mods was the exhaust 3" with a flowmaster, high flow cat, hypertech chip (which does nothing)
KN's and an exhaust cut oput which was open at the time, basiacally completly stock! I ran that at 88 mph. I expect alot more from the 350 :hail:

its that time of the year when it really comes down to weather...if it is really nice, there will be people there, if it is cold or even cloudy there is barely a turn out...a good amount of people have put their cars in storage too. it was from about 5ish to 7ish (not really a set time). to answer ur question, its pretty much over although im sure there are still people that will show up anyways. i didnt go last weekend because i had to stay at school and the weekend beofre there was bad weather and barely anyone was there. ill go this saturday probably but this might be the end unfortunatley. however, i feel there is still time for some sort of meet...ill go as long as its not snowing...
