Junkyards by State

i know this has been brought up a million times, but i think it would be a good resource if we could come up with a bunch of junkyards and their phone numbers and have like a master list. maybe we could make it a sticky. i think that would help out with people looking for parts and stuff.

who knows, i might find a fourth gen interior and a t56.

i know of a couple in nj, but don't have the numbers offhand.

maybe something like the format:

Name of shop Location(city/state) Phone Number

would be good.

are you looking for junkyards that are thirdgen specific, or just junkyards in general?

i'm from ohio, bout 30 miles northeast of youngstown.

there's a yard down near east palestine/canton area named cambird motors... i'm told it's thirdgen specific.

there is 82 auto wrecking, in brookfield, they have a coupla thirdgens... tpi383 bought his convertible from there. those guys are jerks, though.

repair shops? i'll get back to you guys on that one. i deliver parts to a bunch of competent shops every day.

There are 2 places here in Vineland. One is called U-Pull-It and I'm told they have a decent selection of f-bodies. The other is another pull it place (forget the name, but have directions). The have more than 20 bird and maro's there. Unfortunately, all the 350's have been taken, cept 1 block. If you need ANY 305 part... you can find it there. Plenty of good ttops and hoods. All the seats are pretty much gone... lots of gfx's and door panels. Also, there is a GTA there with what looks to be a salvagable digital dash. Any other questions and I'll try to answer them, email me at structure112214@aol.com or PM me. I'm goin back there next week and will get more info.

They are on Hazel St. in either Clifton or Paterson, not too far off of Rte. 46. I think it is the corner of Hazel and Bloomfield. But you may want to look into GI up near Parsippany, they have more of a 3rd gen selection. But be prepaired to get muddy there!

There's one I went to today in Williamstown called Camaro and Firebird Shop. He's got about 30 third gens and many second and first gens as well. I am getting a few parts off the GTA sitting right up front there. The guy is easy to deal with and very helpful in finding several parts that you may need. I pulled a center console lid today and I'm going back for a passenger side door next Saturday. The only bad thing is, he's only open on Saturdays. Phone number is (856)629-8040. The guy's name is Vince I believe. It's definitely worth the trip if you need the parts.

Dude, you got it 100% right.

I've been there three times, and have never gone back- and that was almost 10 years ago.

1st time- needed a fender. "Sure we have one come back in an hour". Came back- "Oh the fender got ruined" "What do you mean?" "The guy drove the forklift over it" "What?!" "Yep, no good" and started talking to his friend again.

2nd time- needed a fender. (Notice a trend? haha) Asks me to leave a deposit and come back in an hour. (Deposit? So what happened to the 1st "driven over" fender? I bet he never had a fender for me.) Came back, gave me a dented up fender. I tried to argue that it wasn't worth the $90 but he wouldn't hear it- I paid the rest and left mad.

3rd time- guy completely blew me off. Screw that.

Plus, what the hells with him not letting people in the junkyard? I gotta wait for those dips to take parts off -for- me? Yeah, sure... so I can get screwed on another fender again, I guess.

Fitchburg Auto in Greenville NH... has about 20 3rd gens, 15 2nd gens, and plenty of other cars as well! Most of the 3rd gens are 82-84, some 85-87's... I couldn't find any newer ones. I saw a few Irocs too. There's an F-41 in there as well.

He lets you go out there and take off what you want, and it is one of the cheapest places I've been to.

chuck and eddie's in southington, ct is about the only good yard i've been to in ct. it's not f-body specific at all, but it's a pretty big yard, and i've seen a good amount there. that's where i got my 4th gen seats for $150. there's 2 more chuck and eddie's in new haven and north haven, but i've never been to either and i'm not sure if they're the same owners.

Harry's U Pull It

Last I was there (honestly, about 2 yrs ago) they had a lot of cars, and its a pretty big place. And you pull the parts, so you don't have to be worried about getting crap.

I live in Southington and Chuck & Eddies is good. THey let you wander around and pull what you want or they will pull it for you for a premium. I think the New Haven one is closed-they had a big fire last month. I looked for a few months for 4thgen seats but someone beat me to 'em.

All American Auto Salavge in Raway, NJ

That is a seeming good place to go, my father said they used to have alot of things and i work at an auto body shop in Clinton and all of out used parts come from then, we just call with our needs and they deliver it for free....we get whole front clips, the literall cut the car in half and send up everything from teh firewall up. An Intergera front half cost $1600. It was a new integera tho.
