Anyone from NH?
Hi new guy here from NH. Anyone else from NH? I got Fieros out of my system (put a v8 into a Fiero) and now I plan to swap my Trans Am's 305 for a 350. This forum looks like it will be a great resource for the swap.

I spent 4 years in Manchester, as I went to Saint Anselm (played hoop from 86-90). Graduated in 1990, but I still go back at least 3 times a year to see the fellas and take in a few hoop games (#10 in the country Div II in Street & Smith this year). I love that area.
I had been rebuilding my car for 2 years, and in September, I drove it from LI to NH as the "it's finally done" coronation. Those 4 hours of driving my GTA, going to see my buds, tunes kicking...awesome therapy.

It's coming along pretty nicely. I bought a TBI system off somebody on Ebay and the wiring harness is hacked up pretty bad. Today I was trying to remove the flex plate from the 305 and I can't break the bolts loose. Other than that I have the 350 on the engine stand and I hope it looks as good in the engine bay as it does on the stand.Later,

Only saw one 1st gen there tho Does CamaroHeavan have a website? What is the email address. It sounds like the same place I bought the interior for my TA from awhile ago. That was in Rochester. The owner had a notchback red TA at the time and a whole lot of parts stored in a barn... What other good TA or Camaro junkyards are around that I might not know about?

I reside mostly in Dracut, MA in the winter months and Wakefield, NH in the summer months. If you need any parts I have a slew of stuff in my buddies garage.
Right now we are in the early stages of doing a 305 TBI -> 350 TPI conversion. I picked up a 92 RS straight from California off a guy in Pelham w/101k miles for $2000. It had a few stupid things wrong with it all caused by someone messing around with the wiring not knowing what they are doing.
As of right now I have a 350 TPI from an 88 at Robbins in Rochester getting the motor bored. Hopefully it'll be ready to go in the spring.
If you need anything give me a hollar!

Re: Anyone from NH?
Eh... Its a decent job for what it is. I somehow became the CS guy at our store, so my job's actually somewhat enjoyable now... Much rather deal with garages who at least THINK they know what they're doing than some of the people who come in to my store, and i'm sure your store too. Some guy with a thirdgen Bird with 91/92 gfx, all different colors (I shouldn't talk) came in a few days ago for some stuff, and in casual conversation I asked what engine he had. Guy kept mentioning how it was an "IROC-Z motor, not the origional Pontiac motor"
I'd say with 80% of the regular customers, I just go along with whatever they say and don't argue with them even though they're clueless. I don't get commission, so if they dont get the right parts, it doesn't affect me. Now the people I deal with are more intelligent, but all seem to think they're "special" and deserve unrealisticly low prices or instant delivery. Oh well.
Whadda you do at your store?

Next time you're in, say hi! My name's Chris and I usually work in the office out back, but tell someone to get me, I'd love to see your car when its nice out!

Re: Anyone from NH?
Time to revive some ancient thread. xD
Derry. If anyone is in that area, my F-Body is the like, ONLY 15th Ann. Trans Am this half of New Hampshire, it's the only one I'd ever seen in person, so I just HAD to buy it. Before that I had a junk POS 91 RS, but I never got it registered so I don't really consider it part of what I've owned. Lol.

Shh, you aren't supposed to let them know that! lol
I was kidding about it naturally, but it's the only one I've seen in person, hence why I said so. I'd love to be able to bring my 15th to some shows, but it's gonna take quite a bit of money to get it ready for that.
