I was thinking about "organizing" a little cruise to the drive in movie theater in Mansfield CT. If there is enough interest I figured a group could meet in Manchester area and then cruise over to get there a little early ( shows start at dusk ) and have an informal get together before the movies start. The cost is $8 for adults $4 for kids ages 4-11. Anyone could also just meet at the drive in also.

They have a concession stand and bath rooms, but obviously you can bring what ever food beverage you want. No grilles or open fires though.
They have a no pets rule also.

They have 3 screens, two movies back to back per screen, and you can switch after the first movie if ya want.. so hopefully there would be something that everyone would want to watch.


I am looking at doing this with a CT F body club I am in ( www.ctfba.com) and if anyone is intersted I think it would be a fun time.

Interest? Suggestions?

I've decided to try and make it a monthly event. The third Saturday of every month

June 18th, July16th, August 20th, September 17th

This is not limited to only Thirdgens or Camaros and Firebirds.. but more of a family and friends type event. Anyone that wants to meet up and cruise over, or just hang out for a bit before and then enjoy a movie or two is welcome.

I'll post up some more info when I decide on a good place to meet up. I am thinking that somewhere in Manchester that's fairly easy off the I84 .

that sounds good. its kinda of a hike for me but sounds like its worth seeing. i never been to a drive in movie

The date is Saturday June 18th. I'll be meeting at the parking lot near Pep Boys in Manchester with anyone who wants to, and then heading over to the drive in. Leaving at 7 PM to get there shortly after the gates open.
