Car: 1987 Iroc-Z
Engine: 5.7L SB
Transmission: TKO 500
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 373's and a Detroit Locker
How to build a high 11 low 12 second Iroc
Stock clean car to start
MSD 8mm wires
One Step cooler (NON Platinum Plugs)
If auto (B&M Stage 2 Shift Kit) when you blow that get a TKO 500 and get it freshened up.
Balanced Drive shaft
Hardened U Joints
NX Nitrous Wet System 100 shot
Nitrous pressure Gauge
Bottle Heater
Water Temp Gauge
A/F Wideband for Monitoring Nitrous
Sport Comp 8k Tach
10 bolt rear 7.625 with 373's
Detroit locker locking Diff
Mickey Thompson Drag Radials 255/50/R16 Largest you can fit without tubbing and stock rims
Spohn Adj. Torque Arm with Drive shaft loop and cross member
BMR Adj. LCA's
KYB Shocks in front Heavy Duty Monroe's in the rear
Flowtech Headers
High flow Cat
3inch Piping all the way back
American Thunder Flowmaster Muffler dual outlet
SLP CAI
Delete AC
Take out AC radiator in front of actual radiator for better cooling
Poly Trans mount
Racing seats with 5 point harness's (optional)
No back seats because the racing seats had to be bolted to the floor
Remove front bumper support 35lbs
stock power seats removed 13lbs each compared to racing seats
Relocate batt. for the SLP Intake
All this will get you into low 12's high 11's with STOCK TPI set-up, STOCK ECU, STOCK internals.
$6,000 plus the price of the car. So 11K total for me
Stopping a C5 with bolt-on mods in it's tracks with a STOCK TPI MOTOR.

Mcleod Street disk
Mcleod Clutch fork
TKO 500 Trans
Spohn cross member/torque arm/ optional Drive shaft loop
Clutch Pedal Assembly
Hydraulic line
Clutch reservoir
Yoke to match trans and drive shaft
Best of All Emissions LEGAL I passed with an 86.6 out of the max 87 allotted Carbon emission.

cool. I made a few trips up to the Valley this summer. Went up with some guys from the club I am in, mostly Wednesday nights.
