Chevelle
So I might be looking at a Chevelle tomorrow. Looks like it needs a new floor pan, new brakes and the guy said some of the wiring needs to be looked at as well. It's a 1969 Chevelle 300 Deluxe, he is asking $2500 OBO. What do you guys think about this?

Re: Chevelle
$2500? At first that doesn't sound bad at all for an old "muscle car era" car. I know of old ratty sedans that go for that.
2 door or 4?
6 or 8?
Can you get a pic or three?
Wiring is not too hard on a car like that. If it needs a floor it probably needs a lot more...trunk, all the metal around the front and rear glass and there could be much more.
My cousin builds old cars and has seen some real winners...shoddy bondo, fibreglass, even a stop sign puddied in for a trunk floor on a Camaro.
Eventhough this is a 3rg gen board, if no one puts up a fit, get some more info...a car is a car is a car.

Re: Chevelle
Chevelles are awesome.Keep a good eye on the trunk and braces, and around front and rear windows.Frames like to rot behind front tires.Besides that thats a great price for a chevelle nowadays. And you can pretty much buy any part it needs from Ground Up and such.
