I love the thirdgens and I love/loved my 5.0 but the stang was like riding in a pepsi can compared to the t/a.It was faster than my t/a but not as comfortable.It ran just as good as the t/a,smooth idle fast acceleration.I think people have one bad experience with a certain car and hate that brand from that point on.

 

It never handled as well as the t/a and the stang had the pro kit and bilstien shocks and the t/a was stock.

 

my old on used to fishtail all the time... but thats wat happens in any rear whell drive car.... you just gotta try and be careful driving... but of course if ur driving stupid then hey somethings bound to happen. but you cant blame only fords for doing something stupid...

 

No, it's not just a Fard problem, it's all Foxbody 5.0's.

Their suspension sucks, 4-lug stock wheels suck, no weight in the rear to compensate.

Now just add a little more power and a crappy driver and voila you fishtail right into a brick wall.

if u dnt knoe how to drive it can.... it all just depends on the driver... if someone is a good drive than thats really good... less chance of stuff happening.... but if ur a ****ty driver than... good luck on the road....

 

Basically my point is, and you even admitted it, is that 5.0's have a tendency to fishtail.

Sure it might not happen to you all the time, or you might have upgraded a few things, but I remember at the local backroads dragstrips, whenever some new kids with 5.0's came up to race, everyone would move away. Very quickly.

 

oh im not denying that 5.0's fishtail.... they can fishtail like no 2morrow if u have the wrong kind of driver in the drivers seat... and of course if its new kids ppl are gnna move away... its not like they are gnna knoe how those new kid drive right??? its only logic...

thats true. the fox body suspension is not designed well. well take my car vs a highly modified suspension from a 5.0. my car will win hands down. plus the thirdgen has better weight distribution too which gives it an edge. plus 5.0s do fish tail A LOT more too. ive seen it in person too. hahaa. 4 lugs ahahahaaaaaaaaa

i baught a really powerful motor im not saying how much hp it has but i know for FACT it wont be newhere as fast as mine. my car is setup extremely well and i know what im doing..and u dont..

There are some crappy chevys too.I only like a few fords,some mustangs,f2-350's,older broncos.Every make has their crappy cars,that's just the way it is.Look at me,I had a nice thirdgen,bought a 5.0,sold the t/a,wrecked the stang,Now I am going back to gm but if I found a cheap enough 03-04 cobra I would be all over it.
