Great Meet !!!
race results
TraviZ vs Kairles(01 cobra)
taviZ won by about a car but if we were to go again I know it would be closer to a tie
outoftimegta(Del) vs. porkyzilla(eric)
del just killed eric, but eric had no traction in 1st and his knock sensor is bad
traviZ vs. del
del won by a nose, very close race
traviZ vs. eric
travis won by about a car, but eric
after that race the cops showed up and was pretty much right behind eric and travis as they were racing. will was down the street blocking another street and was trying to call us with no luck after the cops passed me a del(we were parked) I hoped in and took off and didn't get pulled over or anything. before I could get my seat belt on eric fly's passed doing about 60mph(eric and travis both hit a U turn as did the cop) and passed will doing about 100mph he also went down sunrise and we met up at some ware house travis wasn't so lucky he got pulled over but was given a warning. I guess del just stood by his car and got of scott free and went home will also got pulled over and they gave him some BS about if they seen him again. Me, will, eric, and travis met at in&out and chilled for a while. after that I left I think the others did the same
the Thacker Bros. also came out but they left before all this happened it was nice to seen them and was nice to meet Aaron and his GTA
oh and I suck because I forgot my camcorder at home
now its 2am and Im going to sleep

Yeah, I only saw the first two races, which looked fairly close. Sorry we bugged out early. I'm not too into the street racing thing...light to light maybe, but I felt like a sittin' duck out there, and I knew the cops would be by at any time. Glad no one got busted. Nice to meet ya all.

I Y street racing
'atta boy Eric, don't blame your car like a puss, way to admit the driver error.
Everyone has some problem with their car, can't blame losses on that.
I feel I race well on the street/track up to about 85mph.
My 60's and early traps are where they should be, but falls flat on the top end and my mphs of 94-96 reflect it.
Maybe I'm leaning out towards the end, who knows.
In need of some tuning/diagnostics.
Good meeting you Aaron.
You should bring it out again next time we hit the track or dyno day.
I'm not a big fan of stoplight racing.
To me that is asking for a lot more trouble.
Dodging cars and cops that could be around any corner.
Plus you don't even get past 50-60mph.

im not a fan of stoplights much either, its ok for quickies but nothing serious, the stoping and hanging out and racing is way cooler. will's bro mentioned another spot we could check out next time, it is about one more stoplight down after where we were, and take a left, and its down that way a ways.

where'd you guys go to?
i wanted to make it out there but i didn't have the extra cash to burn on 40 bucks worth of gas (half a tank to get out there and back, probably nearly a half tank just playing around out there)
damn it damn it damn it
i REALLY wanted to go too... AND I wanted to get that box off Traviz, but I didn't get paid so I couldn't get the gas let alone the box once I made it.
BOO
I was thinking about it all last night too.

We were just along Sunrise, Dizturbed.
I doubt you are as far as some of the other guys that came from Rocklin/Placerville.
I barely used a 1/4 tank.
Yeh there are a lot safer places just a little deeper into the warehouses/roads where street racing was present back in the day.
I was just lazy and made the first turn-off where we went before.

Good times guys, have to do it again sometime, just have to play it a little safer and smarter next time, the cops might be all over that area though for a while waiting for us to try again.
Dizturbed One, hope to see you out next time. I also only used about a 1/4 tank of gas or so.
Aaron, glad to finally meet you, nice to see Robby again as well. Hope to see you guys out again soon.

I'll bring my camcorder and my digital camera next time. I'll make it out for sure.
Rocklins alot closer to Sac than me and Placerville guys, and Placer guys come to Sac on the Roseville side already though... I come from the western side, then I have to drive through the entire body of Sac to get there.

Dam, I so missed out. I tore my car apart as soon as I got home from work Fri. tore it down to the base intake and took that off too!
chasin' what I thought were vacuum leaks. Buttoned it all up today...Sun. still has around 15 lbs. of vacuum and the needle is all over the place as the computer tries to correct it. I am going to re-adjust the rockers again.
other then that, I am out of ideas why it is having this vacuum issue.
My vote is in as well, I like street racing. last time for me was out at the airport...I spun my alternator into pieces that night.
Hey, can I post pics that are too big? my digi/computer saves them too big too post.

You need to shrink pics that large, you don't want to post them that huge in threads.
Copy/paste the entire image into a new blank image that is smaller, save as jpeg.

infact we had a 91 z28 that had a surging idle due to altenator so hook up a charger set it to 15 amps and disconnect the altenator and try to run the vehicle see if it works than

Step inside Eric
Hey buddy-
I worked like an animal on the Rock this weekend.
The charging system is now a-o.k. Had a bad fuse and a short in the brown alt. wire.
No vacuum leaks at the manifold anymore.
Vacuum guage tries to settle in around 15 lbs., but computor won't let it.

Dizturbed One, glad to hear you will make it out next time, what is your real name by the way?
Del, what do you think made your car so much faster the other night, the way you were driving it, or maybe your tranny repairs? Just curious,
David, sounds like if the computer won't let it settle than maybe it's the computer or chip that has the problem like I have been saying all along. There has to be a way you can test this or maybe you should just replace them and see what happens, just my thought's and

I've never raced Travis or Eric before, so who knows. At least I got one in before they are "ramming".
Bummed I didn't get to race the Cobra.
Street racing isn't the same as at the raceway so I try not to compare the two.
I tend to drive easier on the street as it's just for fun.
For example, I don't heat up the tires or launch at as a high an rpm as I would at the track and I'll rarely manually shift.
As I posted above, I belive I'm in need of some tuning as I might be running too rich or leaning out on the top end.
That might be why I'm not reaching those 13's yet.

Hehe we'll see how good 'ol Vin can do againt some of the best on TGO.
T5's already in too Big Willie Style, and I'm a World Class kind of guy now. All I have left to do is stab the dist. and tie up a few minor loose ends.
Can't wait until 7/16

Sweet, glad to hear you are almost done. Can't wait to finally see what she can do at the track, and of course what kind of numbers at dyno day.

And you're right, I'm not wreckless (I wrecked my dads Astro van when I was 15 and his Jeep when I was 17)... But I've been known to be very reckless... lol

with me hanging out of the passenger window screaming like a drunken idiot
the car actually rolled over onto me and ground my face into a ditch for awhile. i amazingly remember the whole thing. dirt. everywhere. i tasted it, smelled it, saw it... nothing but dirt.
hematoma on the back of my head the size of half my head (cracked skull, fluid leaked and sat between skin and skull in case you dont know what a hematoma is) a couple hairline fractures in the vertabrae and a slipped disc, one compacted (crushed) vertabrae. no skin left on the right hand side of my face.
all healed up fine except my back, it still hurts a bit, and i still have loose skin where the lump was. teeny little scar between my eyes where a rock was embedded, that's it for permanent facial damage.
paramedics were amazed i was alive, let alone running around and helping my buddy out of the car (who ended up only having a broke collarbone btw but still acted like a little ho about it)
so lucky i stayed concious, at the very end the car was sliding on its roof towards a big metal drainage pipe in the ditch and i would've been beheaded if i didn't scramble into the car somehow while it was still moving.
so ha
i beat you traviz

Crazy story Eric 2. You are lucky to be alive to say the least. I would certainly be more humble driving after that kind of accident.

It made quite the driver out of me, I can't help but be alert everytime I'm in a car.
On the downside... It's made me very nervous when other people are driving and I'm in the car, especially if they're ripping around.
I have no problem doing it myself though, lol.
