Engines tend to last under great deals of stress when they're assembled perfectly. Ask any racer or engine builder.

oh!!!!!, travis broke the #8 connecting rod and the piston was broke in half. piston pin was ram'd into the side of the bore and the other end of the rod was wedged between the crankshaft and the top of the block. the driver side head has a little nic but should be ok. eric took pic's im sure he'll post them tomarrow

about the only thing bad id say that caused some failure is the fact that you put a new headgasket/lower compression on an old bottom end. so id say its the new cylinder pressures it couldnt take. the other problem is his spring pressure was far too great for his setup.
putting in a cam wouldnt cause a bottom end failure unless there was clearance issues.

Otherwise you would see people pulling motors out of junkyards to put cams in. For that matter, you wouldn't advise me with 160k to put a heads and cam on my car? Most certainly not. It would die in a month if I was nice to it. However a fresh stock rebuild of my bottom end, B&B'd, will easily handle the 410 hp kit I want.
BALANCE and BLUEPRINT are two(2) different things I asked more than one shop and they all said the same thing a BLUEPRINT is just all the measurements of the balanced motor on paper. and Im not gonna pay $75-$100 for a peice of paper

How long did u drive it till you dumped it for the 355 and how hard did you whomp on it? What was it's eventual failure?
It actually never really completely failed, the crank key that held on the sproket broke off. But that basically ment pullin the motor anyways to get to it easily what not so i just yanked it and threw it away

he's gonna build or buy a short block. He sent me a text message earlier today and said he may have found a 383 for cheap.
I sure it'll be running in about a month

it certainly didnt help robby, but probably wasnt a major factor if he used a window switch and had the fuel properly adjusted.
oh and Trav, when somebody text messages you on your phone and wishes you a happy thanksgiving, instead of saying "i dont know this number who is this" would be more polite to just say "have a happy thanksgiving as well, or happy thanks giving, etc etc". Tard face

383 stroker, sweet Travis. 12's are in the bag for sure, just going to have some traction issues. Either way it's going to be sweet, hurry up and get it done, lol. Let me know when you need some help. Oh, I love the modified sig, blowed up, that's awesome, nice way of keeping it updated, lol.
