New wings

well,Thanks to Harjeet(phat89t/a) and Terrell(Kairles),I have my new ride.It has the look I want now so all I need to do is paint it,and fix a few little odds and ends. The car has some punch and sounds awsome. It cruises at high speeds pretty well I took a few pics tonight but they didn't turn out really well so I'll get more tomorrow.
Thanks again to Harjeet and Terrell!

The wheels are the same height when sat next to eachother.I would rather have a little more of a gap than a bunch of tire.It has a little rougher ride now but not by much.

Any idea what it runs as it stands Steve? Mid 15's?
Just seeing it reminds me so much of my Firebird.
Definitely keep the color a nice shade of blue.
Welcome back.

Nice meeting you today, Steve. I look forward to seeing the progress on this car.

Del... I think this car is already flat 16's now.

Well that's what Harjeet said he ran but it feels like it's a bit out of tune and the idle has a little surge and the detent cable is out of adjustment so the tranny jumps into each gear way to early so I'm going to play with that today. It feels like it has more pull than my 87 and that was a 15.2.I will bet money that it's at least a low/mid 15.It has a non posi 3.08 so The tire just spins when you jump on it.I'm swapping in a 3.42 posi by June.I'm not sure what his 60 ft was so maybe he'll chime in.

I think most 305's are low 16's - mid 15's if lucky. Guess it depends on TBI/TPI too obviously.
Since he has some mods already and a refreshed motor, maybe mid-low if in tune like Steve said.

well the alarm starts automatically. in order for it to not to turn on automatically u have to open the driver side door or put it in valet, which i forgot to show u. The alarm booklet is behind the rear driver seat. My 60's foot at the drags were 2.6 lol. wow the car looks sweet. ANd the color was a deep blue metallic. Steve to let u know that occationally the alarm would go nutz. It will go off for no reason and when u turn it off, it would go off again. It doesn't happens all the times though

damn thats gonna be a sexy bird

I remember when I had my alpine put in my car a couple days whent buy then my alarm started doing things like that just going off for no reason and it wouldn't set some times. when I took it back one of the installers said his buddy was haveing the same problems but they couldn't figure it out. after about an hour we found the problem they had used a power wire that ran from the steering column and for some reason it was messing with the alarm

We'll see what it runs at the track on the 11th.I know it's in the 15's but I need my baseline.I'll start the 350 build either when I find a good deal on a block or next winter. It moves good enough for now.I just want to finish up the cosmetic side right now.

damn 78 inches, thats like a little tiny 1.2L jap motor.

so in conclusion, the difference in size between travis's motor and steve's motor is a honda motor.

It's real common for those tabs to be broken off, especially after stereo's being stolen and ripped out.
Hard to find in excellent shape.
I had to replace mine a couple years ago even though it was excellent outside, bastards ripped out my deck.
Got a brand new one from Hawks for $60 at the time.
