this friday night my buddy wants me to race his friends mustang (fox body) says it runs mid 12's i don't know any specs on it at all yet. am I doomed?

Well, if you lose, you lose.... There are always faster cars out there. If you have a new Z06 with nitrous, or the like, there are still street cars that will beat it... By the way it sounds, your car will at minimum put up a good fight. Don't sweat it, if he beats you, so what.... Good luck though !

i say he'll get you on the street, 'specially based on your posts that your car isn't quite running right.

 

times don't mean anything, find out what he traps at and you'll know what you're up against. You might be running a 12.5@106 1.7 60 ft car, or a 12.5@120 2.7 60 foot car...

 

seeing that travis doesn't have a clue what his car runs, numbers don't matter at all.
