the new plan...............update
Im gonna wait to do the stroker kit(I wanna see what "they" can do with the new L92). So Im just gonna buy a low mile complete 5.3 off ebay, they usually go for $800-$1500. I still plan to turbo charge it. after the I sell the 84 that money will be used for my tranny build. was gonna order up some A-arms this week but mom got a new bike and that motivated me to get the busa done. everything is ordered for it even a couple mods. should be back on the road week after next(minus exhaust, thats 4 weeks out)

Nice bike for momma wow!
Needs an undertail kit though, like most any sportbike IMO.
That'll definitely look nice with the LE.
Plans sound good bro best of luck to you and I hope to actually one day see your IROC screamin' down the street.

dont let the size fool you stock #'s are 285hp/290tq. W2W added one of their turbo kits, 42lb injectors, AFPR, and a W2W tune to a stock 4.8L and made 542hp/603tq @ 8psi. I hope to make some thing close to that on mine

That's not a bad deal for the 4.8.
I know where two L92 cores are (both dropped one valve each, one has slight piston damage, the other needs a new head due to carnage) and I think I can get them cheap. I might just buy them and tuck them away in my garage for a rainy day.

I think my gen 1 will make some good numbers but once I run out of things to do on the iroc, a super gen 3 engine will be its next transplant, and im talking 1000+hp.
But thats many years away from now.

Not exactly sure but what is the deal with the one SFC on the right. It looks as if it is stepped down at the top of the picture where the pipe lays across the top. Can you get me a close up of that? I have not seen that before and was wondering why they do that?
P.S. How is the busa?

more parts on the way
well I ordered some sportlines today from jegs. I also took advantage of the UMI group purchase and ordered some rear lower control arms that should be here on the feb. 14. think im gonna do some cleaning in the garage, and work on the Iroc this weekend. finally gonna take the seats out and front a-arms maybe even the K-member. I also need to get the stock TPI harness out so I can sale it and free up some shelf space.
the busa is doing good I road it last saturday and sunday and had a blast. fairing stay is on also added some carbon fiber stock style mirrors, carbon barends and some billet spools, also have some carbon levers on the way. tank still has a dent, Im gonna call dent pros to see if they can fix it if not Im gonna have to buy another one(the one I bought was slighty different). Im gonna order some Race Railz in a week or to.

I would be interested to see them on your bike. From the looks of them I think they would hit my legs. Maybe once you have them on your bike and if we meet up I could sit on you bike to see if they would fit me. I like the idea. They look like they would help out a bunch if the bike was to go down.

Re: the new plan...............update
I did get a little done today. installed the fuel pump and needed to do some wiring so I could use the plug that came with the edelbrock pump. getting the tank in was a lot easier than on the 84, took about 2 minutes. Then I put the rest of the rear suspension on. was a pain to get the lcarb in because of the e-brake cable bracket I had to bend one end back to fit them. Im gonna just cut the end off and have everthing welded later. Rear springs(sportlines), adj. panhard and LCA are all on and ready for action.

Good, very good.
Keep workin' on that sucker.
I got a chance to check out your Formy for a minute at Bennie's.
A shame that one is going away.

well okay then.
i thought it was kinda odd those nice new edelbrock headers/exhaust were going on just to be sold with the car.
