That sucks bro and I'm sorry to hear it.
I can't view the thread as I'm not a member but I'm guessing the car got hit pretty hard. The important thing is that you're ok.
There was an '88 or '89 IROC on CL with no motor for $500, was a hardtop 5spd too if I remember correctly.
But if you ask me I think you should throw that money into getting your IROC back this spring.

Just get another runner and focus on the IROC.
You don't need another 3rd gen, you've already gone through 2-3.

I would love to put the money back into the Iroc but I need a car to drive until the weather gets nice and I can ride. If the car is totaled I'd just use that $$ to get another car.

not really driveable. I tried to back it up and it wouldn't move, the back of the car would just lift a little.

what car is it that got hit ?
between young girls and old ppl, alot of nice vehicles get wrecked
its crazy
i can speaks because im neither and have never been in an accident, and i have owned and driven probably over 150 different vehicles since 94, not exaggerating
its crappy that happened, id be so pissed off,
insurance is usually good about paying u a good amount for totalled vehicles and letting you buy it back for dirt cheap
like 2-300 bucks usually
state farm anyways
good luck

i would say a v6 5 speed would be a nice daily driver,
but i think you should get something newer and more of a daily driver

Terrell,
If you need a daily driver and can find a TBI car in good shape, I'd jump on it. Otherwise, focus on a newer four banger and use the money you save on gas to get your other third gen back in working order. That's my old man perspective.
I also agree with Jesse. I would like to personally b|tch slap all people driving in the fast lane who are on the phone.
