As I am a new member, I can't post in the Wanted classifieds - but I am, indeed, looking for a 3rd-gen Firebird in the Bay Area, so any tips on that would be lovely. Yes, I am canvassing Craigslist. I get around fine on my motorcycles, but I have a yen for a fun car that I can take cargo/passengers in when the mood strikes.

Finding a manual is turning out to be very tough, so I might end up getting an auto and flirting with the idea of a swap down the line sometime.

Well I know right where one of those pictures was taken. I don't have a picture of my Busa on this computer. I'll post one up tomorrow. I now live in San Mateo right next to Burlingame. Maybe when the weather gets better we can go out for a ride sometime. Always fun to ride with new people.

There are a bunch of nice people here on the 3rdgen board and if your looking for a car I am sure that most of the people will keep an eye out for you.

I have seen a few people pick up some great cars for a good price. I think that timing is usually key.

welcome to TGO. I've always liked the R1200s, almost better than the busa. If they would come in better colors Im sure I would have got one. make sure to let me know when you guys get a ride going.

Its hard to find a thirdgen thats a manual even harder to find a bird thats a manual. I say just find a clean auto that has most of what you want in a thirdgen, then swap in a manual. I'll keep an eye out
