Shop Name

Well, I will be reopening the Arden Shop by the end of this month. Should be up and running middle of June. What would be a good shop name? Any suggestion? I will be doing general repair and smog just like before but will do more high performance.

Re: Shop Name

I like the Arden RPM. Me no like Arden POS. Maybe Arden PMS. hahahaha I didn't go with Steet & Track Performance because it's to focus on high performance. When we were there with the name Smog Diag. Specialists, most if not all customer thought we only do smog. Eric knows that.

Keep it coming....just the good one please. My partner came up with Redline Performance & Repair.

Re: Shop Name

the I would go with a name with out the word "performance" in it. Go with something like Redline Automotive.

Re: Shop Name

RSVP Automotive

or Bennie's RSVP

or just RSVP

(Repair-Smog-Vehicle-Performance)

Probably not best to use "Arden" in the title, incase you will be relocating in the future, etc.

Why, Flying Colors ?
as in flying checkered flags at the end of the race . . .
or as in, "your car passed with flying colors".

Re: Shop Name

I am mostly going with "Arden Automotive and Smog". The high performance is mostly advertised by word of mouth. General repair is the bread and butter. Thanks for all suggestion guys. I will still give a free dyno to a selected Norcal TGO member. We'lll have a drawing when we have the GTG at the shop.

Re: Shop Name

BAD NEWS....battling with county right now regarding the BUSINESS PERMIT. The fee is $7800 but does not want us to reopen the business until the permit is given. And that takes 6-8 months

Re: Shop Name

oh yeah. the $7800 is an application fee. worst part is if for some reason it does not get approved, there goes $7800.00 down the drain.

Re: Shop Name

Found out today that I can continue operating. Now I need to talk to the landlord and deal with him. If it does not happen this friday then I might just drop the ball and forget it. I am already getting job offers at a good pay rate but I still want my own shop.

Re: Shop Name

Okay fellas, renewed my business license last friday. We will sign the lease tomorrow. If it goes as planned, should be open by middle to end of next week. BTW, we will be selling rims and tires as well.

Eric,
Get ready to organize another GTG. I will provide all the food this time. I want to make sure everyone get fed.
