Re: July 25-29
I'm sure you can get a lot more done than front suspension in 4 days!
I'll probably be available on the weekend sometime.
Keep us posted.

yeah I hope to get more than that don but that's the main thing, get it off the jack stands. I also plan to swap manifolds and take the old harness off the motor. I hope to have my hoist back by then so I can fit the motor to give me a clue where to run the harness and a place to mount the ECM.

Re: July 25-29
You just have to post dates and tell everyone that you're working on your car and that they're welcome to help, and they all come running? I love it. I'll remember that the next time I do a mod extravaganza in my driveway.

All you want to do is bolt in your front suspension and remove your TPI harness? We could do that in a few hours. What are the other four days for?

Do you have all the parts you need to actually get it running, or if not, what else would be needed to get it drivable? If you're spending the better part of a week, you might as well make it move under its own power.

(Hey, since I'm not excited about my car, I might as well be excited about yours.)

Re: July 25-29
I almost have enough to get it running N/A, I may do that just not sure what I wanna do. The first couple days Im gonna be tring to get the spindles modified don't think I'll have caliper by then since I now have to buy a pull down motor for my formula. I still need to buy a couple things for the trans swap and still need to send it out to be built, I've been lagging.

my job is giving me **** about the days off. they're luck I have a bike to pay for or I'd just quit, so as soon as I find a new job Im gone.

When you say too much do you mean financially or in a parenting way?

It's a sweet ride and all, don't get me wrong. I like it a lot and I have some history with it. Its just that I am a technician so I work on cars all day and get burned out on it. When I did sales I couldn't stop coming up with things to go home and do to the car. And now of course, I am older and slightly wiser and I find myself wanting to re-do things that are not clean enough or really done 100% right.

That and somehow every little thing that is wrong on the car bugs me, I mean lets face it -- 3rdgens, in general, are fairly mediocre. I know its not a Rolls Royce, but I really want it to be a rolling example of what I am capable of, and therefore want everything to be perfect. But it is far from what I would consider perfect, and I don't have the free time or cash flow to do it yet. I also want to do the paint and body work but don't have the experience yet, so that might have to wait for another year. Sorry, it's not for sale, since I'd rather own it forever and have it never get finished (hopefully that won't be the case though), than sell it and see someone else destroy my vision of the perfect hot rod.

I'm all for helping everyone else get their cars going though.

Re: July 25-29
yeah still going LSx. I ordered some 1.7" adapters from SPD, and some spohn swap mounts. been looking for some C5 calipers but can't really find any worth buying. most are the red zo6 caliper that I don't want, the plain C5 caliper is always in a front/rear set with no brackets and cost to much.

Re: July 25-29
tried to fit the nw kmember and it didn't. the first bolt on each side lined up but the the 4 bolt holes are way off. I also found out my kmembe has no previsions for the triangle brace. It doesn't look like the chassis is tweeked at all, so for now I'm stuck.
