camaros with slp headers ...help

i have a problem some of my pipes from my headers come very close to the spark plug opening. The only plugs that i can use are Accel header plugs, but they seem to foul out so quickly. Is there any other brand to use besides Accel. All the other known brands like ac delco, bosch come so close to the header that the wire will not go on.

I'm using Taylor wires and the plug wires are close but do go on the headers. They were originally angled with a large end, but they came with a bunch of extra boots. I cut the ends off and put the 90* boots on and have had no problems. It's tight, but they go on.

I agree, the spark plug boots are real close to my headers, but they don't actually touch them and I have had no problems.

What's wrong with ACCEL header plugs? I've been using them for the past few thousand miles and have no problems whatsoever. Upon recent inspection i have found them to still be in excellent shape, and they're the only ones that fit with my headers.

Im going threw this crap to.Accel plugs you are buying are not shorties.AFRs are cast to take the gasketed type spark plug.I called the AFR techs and they told me about the shortest plug you can get is a rcy9c Im pretty sure that Part # is right. That is the coldest,it starts at 12.These are champion plugs. You are really stuck here though. The only options you have are to either wrap that tube with Exhaust jackets by thermotech, use headerwrap on the offending pipe,or Jacobs sell ceramic boots to withstand 2000 degrees.I used a boot covering,Ill see how long that lasts,Im using autolites.Call afr they can help you out the best in this situation
