need help or going to part car

need help or going to part car

if i cant find the problem with the car i will part it out let me know wat u guys need and give me a price. or if any one is willing to sit down with me and try and help me find the problem

the car will drain the battery and i just put a new alternator in and is is supering after 2500 rpms and just really lagging it was running fine before. i knew the fuel filter was dirty so i ran cleaner through the gas tank so I'm going to put a new 1 on as soon as i get time.

you check your vacuum hoses,wiring or fuses you did anything recent under your hood before the problem started

Do an amperage draw test and start pulling out fuses one at a time. When the draw drops, you know you have found the circuit that is draining your battery, and you can figure out what component is to blame.

when the car is on it is running at 11.7 and the battery is doing all the work were could the short me that is making the alt not charge?

think the battery mite be bad? the alternator tested out fine with the load and with out a load same for the old battery. any thing i should look for i did all the grounds my ecm? wat else can it be?

When I originally posted in this thread I read your post wrong, I thought you had a parasitic draw that was draining your battery when it wasn't running.

At the alternator there is obviously the connection from the battery (check for 12V there) and a connector. Assuming this is a TPI car, the connector should have a red wire, which gets power from a fusible link, and a brown wire that gets power from a fuse. I'd check for power at both of these wires with a multimeter (you can unplug the connector and just touch the terminals with a test light connected to ground). Check your engine block grounds, there is one that goes from the battery to the alternator bracket.
