Normally, I wouldn't be asking but I am about to put on a new rear axle. The timing couldn't be better for the rear springs...

What is the benefit of these to the ride? Not sure I can afford any lowering...

Mike, I had those springs on my last 2 cars and they to me,ride is a little firmer. I loved them. They only lower it about 3/4" to 1". I think they would look sweet on your car.

I have a right front tire that is gradually eating away at my fender wheel when I turn hard right. I think the spacer on the wheel is responsibile for that in addition to a possible bent frame. Lowering the car would make this worse, right?

Are you talking about the plastic inner fender?? Mine did that with stock springs also.

It's kind of a bummer. What happened when you put the Sportlines on?

As far as buying them goes, I don't think I'm the buyer for these.

Purty car, Frank.

I have'nt had any real problems with the sportlines. I think a little tire rubbing is normal on these cars. the 84 is long gone now. it got wrecked
